Are You Confident In Working With Computers

Do you know how to troubleshoot when it starts to work bad? Do you know what to do when you loose connection? Do you have enough knowledge about it? I am a computer savvy. I remember when I started to date my boyfriend, we used to argue about chatting, email and staying up late with computers. When I am bored, I usually get stuck using the computer. There were times when he changed the the connection settings so I won't be able to connect. Too bad, I figured it out! As much as I remember, he would do anything to get me off the computer...trying to lock it, ect... but I would end up using it again, haha!

Yes, of course. I am confidence with myself that I am doing a great job with my computer. I have a good knowledge to fix everything about computer. I know how to assemble it and I know how to reformat my harddisk. I know also how to fix and install an operating system and software in my pc. I know also a trouble shooting in my pc. [Prince_Magma]

yes i'am confident in working with computers.I'm a computer science engineer so i got ma hands over it.We do write a lota programs and stuff.. [sensesfail]

Yup am confident abt my skills. I remember, once my sister had removed the RAM to stop me from playing games. I was clueless as there was no apparent reason for the computer to not start. I understood the problem when I was explainig the hardware to one of my frens. I realised something was missing on the motherboard. After that my sister had to bring the RAM back. :D. [smrohitsm]
That's great! At least now, she'll never messed up with you regarding computers, lol. Thanks for sharing! [hottie0728]

well i m quiet confident wid comp during troubleshooting n internet but not programming bcoz dat is not my area of interest [paganlord]

I'm very confident. I'm an I.T. consultant and in my line of work I should know what I'm doing specially if the equipment costs millions. I can't afford to make a mistake that's why I frequently keep myself updated on the latest I.T. news and on my free time I troubleshoot my friend's computers for free, just to sharpen my knowledge. I'm also not afraid to ask help from other professionals. [merkava]
I think being in I.T. business is very in demand. I also believed that you have to keep yourself updated to be on the right track especially that technology is growing so damn fast! Thanks for sharing! [hottie0728]

well sometiems it happed with me that i am unable to solve out ! but its not always ! so bit comfortable ! cant say my perfection is there ! i am just a nebie !! [manu_ghimire]

I do OK, and what I can't do my Sweetheart handles. It sure is handy being in love with a genius. [danishcanadian]

I can normally manage to cope with the problems that my computer throws at me. Over the years I have had numerous issues with software and hardware faults, but so far I have not encountered a situation that I was unable to deal with. [Asylum]

I have been using the computer for a long time , but not yet adept with all the nuances of it . I am not able to do the trouble shooting and even using the latest facilities ffered by yahoo!, gooogle , msn etc. In fact I m content with the minimum task with the computer . One shameful thing is that I even cannot work properly with the 'forums'. [akumei1269]

not realy actually but what can i say i love this job.i was an internet service provider technician so i am familiar with computer troubleshooting i guess. [fahmiri2al]
Sorry I should have added - I do tech support for a living. :\ [cdkscully]

I'm pretty good with computers. I just wish my family didn't know that because I'm called all the time to fix their computers. I've threatened to get a t-shirt that says, "No, I will not fix your computer". [AyaMiami]
Haha! Is it free or do you charge them...lol. Thanks for sharing! [hottie0728]

Yes, I fix everything in my computers my self. I upgrade them to the max and get the best years they can provide. I feel very confident. [jossml]

I dont know but I have this thing about computers that I know I can always fix it when something goes wrong. I didnt take computer studies as major in college but I can still do better than any of my friends who works more with computer. [hikarushidou]

Cool! Women really should have the basic idea to troubleshoot their own pc. I remember when I had to pay so much money to get my computer fixed. Now that it's always breaking down, I've even learned how to repair and reformat. Thanks to my ex who helped me. [marief2rnurse]

Yes i am confident with my computer as far as i asve my work every time i use it. But just up to this. [skroutz1346795]

I'm pretty darn good. Better than the average user. I build websites, I blog and redesigned my layout by myself, and I can troubleshoot with the best of them. Do I program? No. [StuckInLodi]

Your boyfriend deffinitly has trouble on his hands with you :D But that is not a bad thing. I feel pretty confident with ym computer troubleshooting abilitys. I have never had to take my pc in for repairs and I can fix most problems. They can be conufsing things, even after all these years though. [Videogeezer]

No, I am not really computer literate at all. When it decides to go wrong -- It takes me hours to work it out --- sometimes I manage othertimes a book helps and at other times -- I call in the "help" squad. I must say though, computers are like a real drug and often an hour becomes two, three or four and I can understand why people do all sorts of things to get people off them. They are worse than TV really, but I love to be on the computer. [Christophillium]

I'm afraid I'm pre IT, so computors are not easy for me. Everything I know I have taught myself, or learned by watching other people. When something goes wrong I used to panic, now I have a mild stroke! [mipen2006]

I do Ok, can usually get through most problems...but I'm better with applications that with technical stuff. I'm not afraid to look around to find what I need to do, and can pretty much reason out the rest logically. If I get stuck, I just call on my stepson...he'll tear apart a computer and put it back together in no time! But, I have my pride, so I try to do it myself first! [wickedstepma]

yes i m confident about it but not so sure about the new things [manmaxman]

Actually my computer knowledge is quite below par. I am a businessman by profession and I do not have the proper training in computer troubleshooting. However, thru reading and exchanging ideas with other person with training on this subject, I slowly learned how to do some important things on my computer unit. I now know how to reformat my hardisk, install operating system and other softwares, detect bloated and open capacitors on my motherboard and change it, remove or clean the motherboard with appropriate cleaning equipments, to include opening the CPU shell and cleaning its inside and dusting off and oiling the CPU and video card fans. I guess I still have to learn more about my computer and how to effectively troubleshoot it. [sulpot]
That's good to know! I also learned more by exploring my own computer and figuring it out by myself. I studied some computer classes before too. Thanks for sharing! [hottie0728]

I know how to fix most basic things with my computer but nothing really dramatic. [cikedo]

I am pretty good at trouble shooting as I used to fix the computer all the time. My lovely hubby brought me a new computer for Christmas and loaded all this software on it. I thought wow because it is a dual core its going to be super fast. However it kept getting major windows errors and reboots itself. I ended up doing a factory restore and only put the proven software on it. Now its good as gold. [meshelleg]

i'm pretty confident in working with computers. i've been familiar with them for about 15 years now so i know what i'm doing. i can troubleshoot it myself and whatever i don't know how to do it's so easy to figure it out. just look around on your computer and try things out. [poppoppop111]

no i am not confident i n working with computers [anirudh_28_90]

definatly! i am in computer tech and had a very good knowledge of computers even before i started the corse. i know how to trouble shoot many problems and even know how to fix them. for instance a common problem with hard drives is that you dont have the jumpers on the back on the drive set correctly. thats pretty funny how he tried to lock you off the computer too lol maybe hees hiding something >:D jk [shawn2008]
I know! He's kinda possessive during those times...a little paranoid to, lol. Thanks for responding! [hottie0728]

yes im confident in working with computers. Im a computer technician thet's why i have the skills to fix a computer. I can easily figure out if theres anything wrong with my PC because i know and experience a lot of troubleshooting the PC from minor to major problem. If theres someone who used my computer and change the setting i can easily figure it out. [cradleOFjheffd]

I am not a computer whiz...but i do believe that the computer is my best friend. It cheers me up in my downtimes, and makes me do my job faster. I cannot assemble a PC, but I do have knowledge in basic troubleshooting and maintenance. This is because my friends who are experts on this are just a phone call away :) They can dictate on what to do whenever trouble is on the way. [g_aileen09]

yes i am confident. i kow how this things goes. ive been in front of the computer & using it since my elementary days. we were tought early on how to use the computer. from using to troubleshooting. though i must admit that i still cant fix anything, thus, i cant be fooled on this :) [shangsyndrome]

I don't amazed that your computer skill is good. You should maintain it for your future even if you don't work in company that your job doesn't have any relation with computer skill. [Putranda]

Yes, I'm pretty much confident with my computer skills. I'm a computer engineering graduate so I have a good knowledge about computers - troubleshooting, installation, connection, etc. Also, there are a lot of useful sites where you can get information if ever you get lost with what you're doing. Im a computer eng'e graduate but I don't know everything. Specially with the computer filed because it's a fast changing field. And if there's something I don't know, I would still remain confident beacuse you can get a lot of answers and solutions from the internet. [clod0327]
Good for you! Thanks for sharing! [hottie0728]

Yeh I am pretty confident with my comp.I have had to learn from my own experiences quite alot but if I get in trouble I (phone a friend) and no he's not a millionaire LOL. He is a computer genius in my eyes, he actually builds comps. I have come across a site for people that are pretty new to the ins and outs and jargon of comps. If anyone is interested add me as a friend and I will PM you the site. [jan135]

I am working as a designer, I have ideas about all the softwares and tools related to it. But I dont know to sort out the hardware problems. [abhi_0110]

i'am confident, i'm always infront of my computer during work. i know basic knowledge on computers, but, i'm not really an expert or should i say as knowldgeable as IT professionals. If given the chance i would like to improve my skill in computer through short computer courses perhaps, in that way, i could proudly say that i'm a computer literate. I think the best way to learn computer is to discover it yourself. Explore your computer, the net and other things related to it, in that way you will be able to familiarize yourself on things which before was unknown to you [marclawrence]
Thanks for responding! [hottie0728]

Well... I am quite confident when working with computers. I just lvoe them. Before i started my current job i used to be on it thw whole time at home. But i was not conencted to the net. I used to play games, rearrange stuff etc. But now that I work full time and that too on a laptop i no longer look at it from home. No need to actually. However I cannot imagine my life without a computer. [melody1011]
Me too! I think I would be helpless without computer. Thanks for sharing! [hottie0728]

i am confident. its beem three years i purcahse my computer, only two time its beem sent to my vender. i always have prob with my moderm but i know how to troubleshoot to fix it. [samfisher]

yes i think i am fairly ok with computers...i have been playing arnd with my machine for quite some time now... and am at home with Windows OS.... havent tried much of Linux.... [dks_ait]

ya i m xtremely confind working wid comp... as i m college student so the top time pass source in our campus is comp..so every student is very aware of the comp and is comfortable in using it...the problems like hanging, virus r common here n these dont hesitate us... [aruniitb]

yes very confident hehehe. most of my friends consider me as the resident mobile/computer guru [tan_13heat]

yaa i'm confident about computer. i can't quite say that i can solve most of them, but i can many of them. as i'm a software engineer i have to... [subha12]

well i was working for a technical support desk for 2 years which was related to internet connection issues....so any problems with internet conenctions, email, browsing issues....do contact me :) [ganeskag]

ya i am quite confident of working... it took a lot time for me.. [remo1986]

Good afternoon!Ilove computers!What aboat you? [Wish178]

its good for you if you are computer savvy.. i am also familir to the basic connection when there is a problem with my pc.. but most of the time my hubby is the one fixing it for me.. he is more familiar when it comes to troubleshooting thats why im asking him evertime my computer have a problem.. [chello63]

if you got the reboot cd,format everything and put a password for it and make him to beg you to give him. [crosa125]

I have no worry about that, because i father is a system technical engineer. So i never thought of troubleshooting. [franklin88]

For many people the computers may be addictive and haul them to virtual world(opposite to real world). What happens to people then is that they stop being talkative and respond less to others. Their reflexes reduce and they stop paying attention to others. This is not good. People should always pay attention and not to cross line of reality. They should balance computer and social life. I myself spend a lot time with computer and learned how to troubleshoot and fix problems. I can't say this is bad because whenever i have problem i don't need to call technician for little problems.I know a lot of people who don't know the easiest things and once i was interested to help others.Maybe this is the reason i learned so much? [Boris_yo]

Hmm...average..there are times that i have difficulties in handling the computer especially troubleshooting it....im good in software but not in hardware..i think so..hehe... [geejoy]
