What do you think is more important, Computer or Mobile Phone/Cellular Phone? Both are gadgets that we are living with now. And if you should have to give up one, what would it be? For me, I guess uhmm.. computer is more important, because I can do more stuffs in computer, and my job is computer related. I can give up my cellphone if I need to give up one of the two. How about you, what do you think is more important and what if you can only have one, what would you give up?

That would be easy to me, I don't own a cell phone the only type of phone that I have is a house phone. I just don't see the need to talk on the phone all the time so I've never bothered to buy a cell phone. I do us my computer a lot thow. [sweetashoney]

For me, if I own both cellular phone and computer, I would give up computer, because cellphone is more important to me than computer. I can rent a computer outside like in cafe, but I can't borrow cellphone to anyone as this is a personal device that you can bring anywhere you go. It is also important to me because through my cellphone, I can communicate to my friends and love ones anytime I would. And if I'm in danger, I can call the police or can seek help from others, and aside from that, I am making money using cellphone through electronic load business. i think i'll be giving up the cellphone because it's not that useful for school unlike the computer. with the computer, i could still communicate with my friends through instant messaging or chat but if i choose to have the cellular phone, i won't be able to do research works, term papers, book reports and the like. I had to give up my phone to my husband last night because he had an emergency the night before and he could not call for help because he did not have any mobile service in the cornfield ditch he was stuck in. I have use T-Mobile and he uses AT&T. I think that the mobile is more important because it is more practical to carry with you and it's instant when sending a message. I'd like to have both if money allows. If I have to choose one, I'd prefer mobile phone. I can go to internet cafe for browsing. Besides, I can use computers at my office. If you have a laptop and wireless access I would definately give up the phone. You can even use your computer as a phone if you need to. And there are lots of different ways to phone people on the web...Vonage, magicjack, even yahoo messenger will call another computer for free or it's like 1 cent per minute for calls to land lines or cell phones. I communicate way more on the internet. I haven't had cell service in a week or so because I can't pay all the bill right now, and I haven't really missed it at all. Now turn off my internet and my butt will be at the cable company within 15 minutes! I don't know what it is, but I'm just way more attached to my computer. [MissAmie]

For me most important is mobile (symbian mobile) which i can use as a computer and mobile as well. I call to my friends daily about 3 to 4 hours day time and some time 1 to 3 hours at night time. A computer and a cellular phone are two very important gadgets. These gadgets are a must have for many people. Faced with no other choice but to have one, I would have a mobile phone. Some people that I communicate with have phones, but are not computer literate. If I lose my phone, it will mean losing my contacts. Some people are very proficient in computers but are so busy that they barely find time to check their mails, this can make it very inconvenient for me to communicate with them. In case I need to pass across any urgent message and get an immediate response, then I will need my phone. Both are actually important nowadays.. We need both to communicate and do business... But if I were to give up any of the two, it wud be my computer... I could go to an internet cafe to do all the important things I have to finish like encoding test items and grades ,or do a research for my classes in nursing, but of course i cud not rent a cp so i cud send important messages or make a call to my classmates,coteachers and friends... I think that the mobile phone is the more important because for computer, you have only access and send messages to someone if they are online and if they are log in to their ym's as "I'm on SMS" but if not, you will not be able to send them messages. Unlike for cellphone, you can bring it even you go to the beach or mountain. i would choose my computer over my mobile phone. i believe there's a huge difference on what you can do on your computer compared to just having a phone. as a student, i do have to work on research papers and other assignments and i just can't depend on a phone with that. definitely a computer is pretty much of a necessity these dayys. you can even watch movies, listen to music and communicate with friends through a number of ways. well as for mobile phones, the services it can offer are just too limited :) [nicecedron]
