no i learned by myself in the inital stages, i learned through my school, and its little enough, but after that i learned about computers by going to the internet browsing centers thats it! [kprabhu]

I didn't even know they had computer schools. lol. I learned about computers on my own, through experimenting and maybe even having friends/family teach me. I learned when I was like 7 or 8 - when my family first got our computer and internet access. I learned how to type "correctly" in school, if that counts, though. [maezee]

I taught myself evreything I know! It gets difficult when I tried to teach myself programing things, but the internet and such was easy for me to learn. My father also helps me with many things. (he bought his first computer in 1990) [chemcdow]

i did in went to a computer shool yet . i learnd some from my friends . they helped me a lot to learn . now i am learning my self by learn ing by doing . i got a laptop last mont then i dont know how to put on my laptop .. happy mylotting .. [sonajoseph]

i learn about computers by myself and thru net surfing. There are many usefull website to help you learn and solve computer issue. [seow227]

hi :) highschool days when we had our computer subject but it's all basic and it's just came to my persona to be a "computer person" i explore things until now regarding internet acceas etc. etc- one click we can search and know the sites that we wanted. it's really depends on a person if he's a teachy or not there are can discover things on their own and some you have to instruct them and some are patience in computers and some they are not so it's really depend- self discovery and learning wink happy myLotting!;) Godabless!0=) [myralmedo]

I taught myself how to use my computer, I didn't go to school, it's cheaper to teach yourself, how to use the computer i think it's waste of money to go to some of these computer classes any way, that was 15 years ago for me, since I learn how to use the computer, and I am still going stong today, I like having my computer.happy [notlistening2]

I learnt the computer all by myself.I did some computer work when i used to go to school.I just learnt the basics from there with a few simple programs. When i first got the first computer in the house i started by playing games. Then i started using the internet checking mails and web pages. Then i learnt how to download music and games.happyhappy [vicky30]

I had to start with a basic computer course at a school. After completing the basic course, I continued on on my own by reading guide books. I am pretty good with the computer now, but still there are some keys I have no idea what they are for. [greenline]

Quite a lot of the knowledge I have in PCs I have picked up myself through using computers and tinkering with them. But I had the advantage of working in an IT environment in my career, and although what I learn in my work relates more to areas like systems design, networking, data communications and software engineering, still I have many years of exposure to using PCs at work and having colleagues who are all IT savvy, and who share their knowledge and experience with me about using computers. It makes my learning of computers much easier for me. When I am stumped with a PC problem, I can just call up my friends for advice if I cannot find answers from books or the internet. [lexus54]

Well, I learned computers because I am eager to learn, my teacher in high school is a really good mentor, she teach me everything i need to learn from basic computer fundamentals to advanced programming. After I graduated college, i taught myself about the new computer concepts, new computer trends and programming languages, by just surfing the internet, and downloading stuffs. I also read ebooks and online tutorials. Now, I can say that I am good at computers especially on repairing it, but there are still things I don't know, but i will learn from time to time... [dashawk]

i learnt everything about computer and internet on my own.i just simply clicked every button and tried it out.i even learn reformat computer based on reading forum on the internet.actually a lot of things about computer you can learn from internet-based forum.they have step-by step instructions that you needed. i think nowadays we no longer need computer teachers in school.Learning can be so easy based on simulation programs and through video also. [tajinder_18]

I learned it on my own. I am studying in a computer school as a college degree. [taki_takaishi]

We had a computer class when we were in schools in 8th standard I think. Those days they taught us Dos and C. We were asked to touch the computer keyboard very slowly like a feather touch. Computer was put in the airconditioned room and we used to take our shoes before entering it. We were told to handle the computer very carefully. I then went for computer course and studied the computer courses after my college and I have studied some softwares myself. I was very crazy about Posar animation software and learned myself and would spend lots of night without sleep in front of the computer. [ajithlal]

I'm teaching myself and when I come across a problem I always go to some computer forums on the internet for help. So, I think some basic skills and theories should be learned seriously, after that ,the best way to learn computer is teaching yourself and try again and again. [sleepwood]

I had a course about computer skills in high school and university,I learnt basic skills then, after graduating,I learnt other skills at work [NancyXie]

I've learn how to use the computer all by myself. Although i remember during my college it was thought but never had a chance to try and hands on because of lack of computers. I had learn using computer when i had my first job during my college days and i thought myself practicing at homes computer. I explore it and that's when i knew that i love working with computers. This past years i have learned more about some technical stuff with the help of internet of course and i have learned working online. However i know i still have a lot of things that i need to know and i am very much willing to learn more about computer especially technical part. [cheenlly]

i learned by watching my brother for countless hours (back when i was five). then i tried to play with it and i explored this and that until i learned. [discharger]

im laern computer in my home myself,i have a broadbrand canaction so i learn internet surfing etc learn more and i tech my friends i tech about 50or 60 friends how to use interner other works, i cannot tech in school............................ [harpreet_happy29]

Hello Apples, i have learned computers on our computer subject in school. But i do find time to go study further on my own. It is good to self study and at the same time, there is someone teaching you to do the trick. Probably most of my years in College, we are taught about computers, but mainly for programming not much on the hardware stuff. But now that i am learning some hardware stuffs from my hubby, i consider it an advantage since i still have to learn more from him and will never be closing my doors for computers. Happy Mylotting! [strawberrychocodahi]

I learned most of the stuff myself. I started learning on my uncle's pc about 15 years back by trial and error and boy he used to get angry after i screwed his pc. No doubt, later I had joined a computer school for a certificate course. But after you get a pc, most of the pc maintainence stuff you have to learn by yourself only. I feel internet plays quite an important role in teaching you that. You have to agree with me on that. [dom1312]

I never attended any computer school and learned the basic computer skills all by themselves. I don't think we must go to computer school to learn computer theories and operation skills. We may buy some books to learn or read courses online. If internet connection is available, it is very convenient to search out the manuals on the web. Only those who want to become a computer expert shall go to computer school to have a deep understanding of computer knowledge. [my1341]

well, in my case, most of my learnings are bymyself..i do a lot of tinkering..be it hardware or software... i got exposed to computers when i was in my sixth grade in elementary and started using yahoo by highschool (2001) haha..twas funny then, i didn't know what it was like to have a yahoo account.. well, i credit these learnings to my friends wayback..they are all computer addicts and gamers.. im just amused by now that people usually ask for my help with regards to software and programs..and ive grown a little compulsive when it comes to techie stuffs.. although i was able to have computer subjects, my discoveries were mostly credited to nonclass experiences [ai_enjoi]

I taught myself about computers. Of course I did read books on the operation systems to get a better understanding of how to get around in them. The hardware stuff I mostly learned through trial and error. I even use my training to help repair other peoples computers. Since most of what could go wrong already has more me because as I was learning I made some classic mistakes. So now I can digure out most any thing. [mandysdad]

Hi apples99 I learnt through my job really when I was working with a bit of self taught thrown in. I am now at college once a week for 3 hours to learn a bit more about wordprocessing, spreadsheets, databases, powerpoint etc. It's mainly so that I can a certificate that says that I can do it for when I start looking for a job. [Humbug25]

We used to have this Computer Class when I was in Grade 4 to 6. we were using floppy disk back then, the long one. I wasn't really good at teaching or learning all by myself so i would depend on my brother doing the trouble shooting for me.maybe i would study trouble shooting or programming some day so that i won't have to bother my elder bro anymore. but it's all damn hard to learn those words and sequences.. [Greeneagle24]

i taught myself using computers. I didn't go to any schools. By experimenting i learned a lot about computers. [swaroopmsc]

I first used a computer when I was a Junior in High School. I had a computer programming class, but I don't think Windows was even around; we used DOS (if that means anything to you). By my Senior year though, the first Windows operating system had came out, and I had another class using it. Once I graduated, I thought it would be nice to get a computer of my own for college. And once in college I needed to use one pretty much every day. Several of my classes used the computer, so it was pretty much a necessity that I know how to use it. But I will say, a LOT of what I've learned has been on my own aside from the basics I was first taught. I'll also add this: I actually learned to type as a Sophomore in High School on a typewriter. Our school didn't get computers for the classrooms until that next year. I'm not sure most kids today would even know how to operate a typewriter. lol [_soonernation_]

I did go to a computer class when I was 9, it was just a introduction course for a child, like how to switch on/off a computer. I don't remember what other I have learnt in the course. Anyway, at that time, computers were not that popular and common, so it was quite funny to know computers. When I was in high school, computers became common and every family had a computer, I learnt it all by myself. When I went to college, some of my friends taught me some other advance skills on computers. [HelloMickey]

i just learn how to use to use the computer in school, in elementary, since we have a computer class. the computer that teacher made us before progressing to a windows based computer is a dos based computer.. so i learned the basics of typing in dos, and in dos programs.. and i just learn to use the windows based computer on my own..and i learn to fix it on my own to.. i have basic computer class in high school and college, the subject is just added in our curriculum... [cuttyrish]

i thaught myself all i know today and that's alot compared 2 people that were thaught by some one... [lonelyvamp5]

I am old enough that I grew up before computers. I think our school recieved one when I was a junior and no one was allowed to tougch it. I didnt get into computers till many years later and learned what I know myself. There is alot I dont know. I did alot of reading. My Dad took a computer class for adults and I have learned some things from him. [carann]

I taught myself too. I worked for HP for several years and have been on computers for about 25+ years so I have learned alot that way. But the ins and outs of sites and my own personal computer was all by me and the poor PC tech I happened to get in the middle of the night several times. I have several friends who are illiterate as they chose to call it. I tell them to just bluster through, there is rarely an instance where you can screw anything up. I don't know what I would do without my laptop and wonder what we did without them back in ott 4. [celticeagle]

I taught myself. Nothing to learn really. Just type stuff and bam....your online. If you want to manage your computer on the other hand then you may need to hit the books...kinda.. [Seifersixx]

Hi, i studied computer subject while I am in secondary school. However, I think there are a lot of topics about computers that I don't know. I do learn from books at my own time on computer programs that I don't know. [ionsquare]

I learned most of what I know in college. I went to college for business office technology.. and part of the course was knowing how to use the programs. [OreoCookie3]

I learned to use computers by myself and because of my enthusiastic nature. I like to know how things work and would easily pitch into things that interests me. I learned photoshop through self study and even used what I learned on employment, having to work as a Graphic Designer for a couple of years. It just proves to show that you can learn and achieve things. [jtsantos]

I never went to computer school, I just learned it by myself and guided by my children. I have so many things to be learned, only I know how to use the internet but not all features of the computer. Still I believed for those who had a formal computer training. Little by little althou, I am learning. [bing28]

Say for my own views, I was a computer science graduate students, the computer must also be considered as there is understanding . this computer anything ,as long as you are willing to go research it, and absolutely can be done . 21st century should be the cmputer century, we are looking forward to!~~~~ [Emperor1]

I have taught myself, and enlisted in help from my Mom when I got confused. I never really messed with computers in school, except to play games on them in the 6th grade through 8th grade. In high school, I tooka keyboarding class, buy always fell asleep in it. I think I learn a little more about my computer each week, but I stick to the basics. [lynnemg]

Back in the day when I took computers in high school and college we didn't have windows. Everything we did had to be written as a program. I changed majors after a year because I wanted something a little more outdoors. Now surprisingly enough here I am back on the computer and yes I started in 1995 again with windows and used books and trial and error to teach myself. Now I do have a computer geek friend Shaun that helps me out if I get stumped on something technical. Man I've seen him do some things.......whew....no way can I keep up. Anyway I have done fine on my own and I think everybody need a computer geek friend. [cableman67]
