Raises hand and lowers head in shame. I'm one of those. I will often sit here and eat while I type away at something or talk with someone on line. I know I'm horrible and deserve to receive 50 lashes from a wet noodle. Usually we are all eating at different times though so no one really minds. Or when we do eat at the same time the others will sit not too far from and watch TV so no biggie to me being on here. We've tried the whole sitting at the table thing and it's nice now and then but over all we're just not comfortable with it. [emeraldisle]

Oh yes I eat at my computer,I also drink coffee and water and other drinks...the reason being is that I love the computer..I also have my Tv on and know whats going on there too..I am so guilty..I just enjoy web sites like this one and I have others also.I do a lot of shopping online..My husband watches Tv all the time and I stay on the computer...Oh we talk and go places,and go eat but around the house,I go back and forth during the day and I love the computer late at night... I sometimes eat in front of the computer, but that happens rarely, and obviously never if i have someone else at home. I only do it if i am doing something interesting on the computer by the time lunch time arrives. I think it's a mistake to spend more time eating at the PC than with other people, especially family. I like to get up before anybody else and make coffee and have a bagel or donut or something with it. I usually turn the computer on and eat breakfast at the computer. However, I have to be careful. Twice I've spilled coffee on the computer keyboard and it had to be replaced both times. [irisheyes]

I pretty much always eat in front of the computer. The only place to eat in my Dorm room is at my desk, so it is pretty hard to sit there and eat and not use the computer. I also very rarely go out and it is not like I have a family to sit down and eat dinner with where I live. Also, I grew up with dinner being informal and we never actually ate at the table. I am certainly addicted to my computer, but I never eat while using it. It would be totally impractical to try using a computer and eating, so my food would probably go cold. There is also the horrifying thought of crumbs getting into the keyboard or dropping a dish and splashing the monitor. i Did it During my project session in my room but not in the office because thats bad for company reputation if i eat during my job, and client will think that we're not professional :) I have a bad story about this, i drop a cup of coffee in my keyboard and suddenly my keyboard become Numb Not responding and i should buy a new one. I am totally guilty of doing this, RebeccaLynn. i almost always eat my lunch in front of my computer. But the reason that I do this is twofold. Firstly, a lot of what I like to watch (and i would be watching TV, regardless, because my family doesn't eat meals together) is stuff that I have found around the internet. I watch more British TV than American TV, and most of that is stuff from the internet that is easier to watch on the monitor than writing it to a CD so that I can play it on my DVD player in my room. The other reason that i eat lunch in front of my computer is so that i can play Netwinner while I watch something on the computer and eat lunch, lol. Yes, I am a multi-tasker galore, I can't help myself! I can make money, eat and watch something entertaining all at the same time. [shywolf]

It just depends. If my children are out of the house working, and my hubby has papers to grade, then my hindend is right here eating beside this computer! I do eat infront of my computer, but thats only happen when I'm at my works, since there is no other place to put my plate, so I just sit infrontof my monitor, keyboar and mouse, and have meal there, sometimes when someone page my Yahoo messanger I will reply it, and when (I eat while reading mylot and others too at my monitor) I found interesting topic, I will reply it also while eating ^^!, but at home since there is an eating tabble out there so I eat there, after eating than I come back to my room and continues my computer acitivity.
