I prefer the Internet on my computer rather than my phone. The computer has a bigger screen where you can see more and I find it alot faster than my phone. I know your phone maybe more conveint when traveling but it has a small screen and you only can go to certain websites. The websites don't show you the whole site and you are limited to what you can do on a phone compared to a computer. Phones can do alot but a computer can do alot more. That is what I am looking for is alot more. I want to be able to everything and not be limited to what I can can't do. Thus something to think about when thinking about internet on your phone.

well I have an iphone and a blackberry, and to be honest the 3g is not that slow, I also get the full websites but also get the option to get a more text based site if I choose to as loads faster. I agree the screen size is a pain sometimes but I do prefer my home pc or laptop but when am away from home the iphone or blackberry is very usable and very handy to have. [benny128]
I don't get why people deal with internet on a cell phone. A what. 1,1/2 inch screen to see a full page? Most finger are larger than needed to touch an icon and htey use a little stick that has to be carried around with it. How many words can be seen on a 1,1/2 inch area? Good grief, gives new meaning to the word SCROLL!!! Lot of people do it, I would venture to say the optical field is a good field for people to start getting educated in as with all this small technology... eye strain and mis=use are going to be a huge problem in years down the road.. as will thumb and finger orthopedic issues!!! When I do something for fun, that is what I want to have. Fun. To squint to see tiny writing or to have to constantly work to scroll or page over or drag a stick across a tiny screen.. I don't see the fun or enjoyment in it. I'll stick wtih my desktop.. and have fun for literally pennies a day! [coffeebreak]

Hi there, well i want internet on my computer. For me its much easy to use than conneting to a phone. And your right the screen is to small for me and also the keypad. I used my N95 to connect to internet but i ended up using my computer. For i have more advantages using this one unlike using a cellphone. I too prefer internet on my computer rather than phone because its not that easy to operate as it has very less keys and there is no good speed of typing i feel. Sometimes the preference changes when we are not able to sit in front of computer if we are traveling at that time i prefer being online with my mobile and stay in touch with my mail box. I do not use internet on my phone.I stay online through my pc and I like it that way. I have unlimited download on my computer and I use it to download movies and songs. I sometimes download softwares, play games and of course, chat with my friends. [sagnik42]
I prefer internet on my laptop as i am able to access it every where i go.I don't have internet connection on my phone. I have a laptop and a datacard....... i am able to use internet connection while travelling also.It makes me easier to check flights details online and book my details whenever i wish. i don't prefer internet on phone as the service is not so fast. and more over the screen is too small for me to work on it. then there is also the problem of typing. i mean even a small para can take hours to type and so there is no way that i can feel comfortable with mobile phones to surf. but yes they are very handy when you are away from your computer and wanna check your mails or may be do some time pass on the internet. but for serious work the desktop or even a laptop is very much the proffered option for me [amitavroy]
I agree with you that, having internet on the phone has small screen and not everything on the website are accessible unlike having an internet on a computer. I only used my phone to download games and application for my phone and just check my mails or who are online on my YM account and what are the update on my facebook account when I'm away from my computer. But as soon as I got back home, I opened my mails, chats with friends and open my facebook account and play with the application I have that I cant access to my phone. [anne12d]
I usually prefer the internet on my phone. This is because my service provider did not know that my type of phone could go on the internet FREE. Yes i said free. I would usually be on it morning, noon and night. My service provider found about 3 years later. After that i preferred the computer internet. As i could get better games to play, screen is large so i can see better and i can type much faster on the computer than on my phone. [Renhard]
Hello tuckersheri, Internet with an iPhone is all right, but I feel I have more control with Internet on my computer. I just liked the way I can go onto my desktop access anything, and still be on Firefox and search for anything I want. I guess I could say it's more freedom while being on the computer than a phone. well, it would be good if internet would be availed both on pc and also in phone, having in phone makes net accessible from anywhere, portable that is..having net on pc makes it even bigger thats one difference and download too is unlimited,but nowadays there are phones that are no different than a pc, tha has all the capabilities of memory big screen not big as pc, and light too, and offers available on phone is really cool than on pc having any broadband connection makes it expensive enough.. The only time I would actually use my phone as a internet provider, i swhen I have to be in my car for long periods of time, ro if I go someplace for a vacation or something like that where they do not give you internet service. Firstly the telephone company provides a fixed rate monthly price for internet and 'phone calls anywhere within the country - so I can use it without limit, whereas the mobile costs are expensive. My husband and I decided to try using the internet on his phone and honestly, we both absolutely hated it. It was very overpriced, it loaded insanely slow, websites were limited and looked like absolute crap! I definitely prefer to have the internet on my computer, because my screen is over 20 inches, I can use the keyboard instead of desperately attempting to find the right buttons on the cell phone, and it is way easier to figure out. I couldn't figure out how to use the buttons on the phone for the internet, and it got me so confused I gave up and just got internet for our computer lol. Most of the times, I prefer connecting to internet on my computer. When I am travelling, I use my mobile in case I need to search something. In mobile phone, you can not open any attachments and you cannot read them if they are not supported on the phone. Even if they open it takes lot of time to read and adjust to that samll format. I don't have internet capability on my phone, but I do on other devices such as my Wii and Nintendo DSi, and I have to say I definitely prefer it on my computer. i completely agree with your say. It may be convinient but its not user friendly. Browsing the net using you computer is so much more better than using the mobile. One reason is the smaller screen display and another reason may be the speed of the server. You may have your works delayed. I am preety sure no one would want to do work slow and just look at a screen while it takes a longer time to download. This I personally find using the computer is a better choice to browse online. Maybe in cases where we need to find something urgently and its hard to hit the cybercafe, it will be very much helpful to have an internet in our mobile [thanusha85]
I prefer internet on my computer, because on PC having wide screen and I can see everything clearly, in small screen that enjoyment we don't get. As well as internet on PC is very cheap than mobile. I have both and I have to admit that the computer is way better. Like you said it is faster and there is more you can do and the bigger screen is always a plus. However, I like having it on my phone for when I am at an office waiting for an appointment or something. It came in really handy last night when I was eating out with some friends and a football game came on...I dont watch football at all so I just surfed the web while they finished the game. I don't like to surf internet on mobile. I like to surf internet on computer or laptop only. On mobiles everything becomes little complicated, no images or not clear images. difficult to type quickly. Hard to do multitasking. So I am not surfing internet from mobile, even it is free from some service providers but still I am avoiding it. [rakesh284]
i'd prefer internet on my computer. i'd be able to do a lot of things on my computer than on my phone though i wouldn't hesitate to use the internet on my phone. if i really need to access the internet and there's no computer around, that's the only time that i use the internet on my phone.
