I haven't been able to accomplish much on the computer in quite awhile. It seems like I feel "brain dead" after a hard day at work and don't want to think too hard. I recently became addictied to yahtzee. I remember playing that game years ago as a board game and found out it was now a computer game you can play as a solitaire game. I can't even go to bed at night before playing a game or two, which turns into about an hour of playing! LOL. Anyone relate to this?

I have had games I was hooked on in the past. Now it is more that I am hooked on posting to forums, etc. I would like to get back to some games. I guess there is still plenty of work for you, and I am glad of that. [GardenGerty]
Well, I used to be addicted to computer games before but when i've realized that it's such as waste of time, i don't play computer games anymore.. I'd rather spend my time doing important things such as blogging, completing blog assignments, doing product reviews, clicking advertisements and many many more.. i don't have a real stable work/job(due to my illness) that's why i'm focusing on online opportunities..=) [gracie04]
Yes,i do play computer games last time and now when i think back,i feel that it's a waste of time because when i am not playing anymore, the achievements in my game just stay inside the virtual world and it is of no use for the real world. And due to that,i waste many of time playing computer games and did not study. Now i stop playing computer games and hope you don't play too much too. Happy MyLotting :D [ahslack]
Computer games are a lot of fun, and occasionally I get caught up in one. In the end it is completely wasted time. I don't think that I will ever completely give up on games, but I try to keep gaming to a minimum. Working on social media and promoting my book keeps me busy during my Internet time, as well as writing tasks here in MyLot. It is important to play, but within reason. The games that I enjoy most now are online browser-based RPG games. They are great because you can check on them for a few minutes and go on to important other things while the game keeps progressing without you. This way you can build up resources in the game and etc. while not actually playing for hours. [carcher777]
I play games on my Playstation 2 but now a days I have installed an emulator to it and can play the same games on my PC but not long as my cpu generates a lot of heat and if I play for more than 1 hour, it gets shut down automaticaly! [sanuanu]
I used to play The Sims 2 like 6-10 hours before. Now, I spent my time in front of the computer in a lesser scale and I surf more instead of playing. :) [bdayboy09]
Yup, these few days I got started on spider solitaire, and can't seem to get away from it. Every time I'm supposed to be doing my work, I would switch screen and got stuck in the game, which could last for hours! Fun though!lol [lazeebee]
I am gamer and I play around 3 to 4 hours playing videogames a day. I dont think its a waste of time playing videogames for me.. Playing videogames relieves stress, it develops eye hand coordination, it makes you think quickly, it makes you observant when you're playing first person shooter, and of course Gaming is fun... [zidane101]
I don't play videogames, but I agree that games are relaxing and I feel it keeps the mind active, which can't hurt. [estherlou]
Yes,I seem t have wasted a lot of time on compluter games. At present,I am a student and I should not play too much, but sometimes I just don't want to study and just want to play computer games with my roomates.Usually I don't play on weekdays because I have to attend classes, but when it comes to weekends,I sometimes even play a whole day!Maybe I have to be more selfcontrol. [hxstar]
ha!! i still remember playing the Delta Force game continuously for days on end completing all the Maps assignments during my college days. it did gave me a sense of achievement after completing all the assignments hehe!! I do like the card games now. [substance]
First I am a girl.I don't like computer games any more.it not only waste money but also waste energy.many times I saw many young people in the bar for more than ten hours. I hate it.I don't agree people playing compter games all days. [zhaosupergirl]
I DO enjoy computer games. I am addicted to just this one site where you get points that leads to gift cards, so I find it a challenge. It is a stress reliever for me! [busyB4]
I normally dont play games on the computer, i prefer read about various subjects(politics, health, gossip, etc)and post then play games. But i agree with you its a good way to forget about work and all the rest. Keep on going, best wishes and happy easter [milagre]
With my kind of work, I do not have the time to play in the computer anymore. Though even if I have the time, I think I will not play considering that I am not very fond of computer games. I guess it is an inherent characteristic of females that are not so interested with computer games. My son loves to play with the computer a lot. [ladyjinggay]
I usually have regular internet access, all right when the game play. [yxc0902]
After a hard work, I only want to fall asleep. So I have no time to play computer games. I don't interested in playing computer game. [zhangfzoe]
I used to play computer games all the time. But really haven't had too much free time these days been too busy working in the yard. My husband and I love that game yahtzee but haven't played it in a while either. We play computer games for a little while in the mornings waiting for the sun to rise. [bwrattybaby]
i don't think play computer games is waster time,i also play it. and usually,we need same relax to our.so maybe the net games will be a good way to it. and at net games,we also can know some new friends,it's important to ourselves. [zdbzss]
Haha, my friend, you haven't heard the worst yet...Once i was sooo addicted to this game i played it for 10 hours straight!..I know..i know..I'm not suppose to do that but i swear i tried to stop but i couldn't..lol I wasted 10 hours of my life away on a computer game..Yess, as scary as t may sound, it happened..haha ^_^ [mira91]
What I have found, is that if i start playing games on the computer I can easily waste two, three hours or more easily without even realizing it. But, the good news is, if I don't start playing the games, I usually don't miss them too much. Now what I've found is that i am becoming addicted to pay for post sites, like this one. I can easily spend two hours a day posting on sites like mylot. But, at least with this time I am making a little bit of money.wink [uicbear]
Well, this all depends on your perspective. I don't consider it "wasting" time because you are actually doing something productive - you're unwinding your brain and getting it ready to go to sleep. Yes, I know I have to rationale my computer time somehow!!! I could play games and goof off on the computer all day long - and I will next week! But I do need this time for a bit of relaxation or I'd go postal on some people. [reinydawn]
I have to be careful not to open the Spider Solitaire game. Once I do I keep at it until I win and it is not easy to win at Spider, especially when you are using three or more sets of card decks. However, now I am too busy at myLotting and doing everything else that I do not have time to play. When I am brain dead, I go to Youtube, I listen to music, especially opera or Christian music, or I will see if there is anything intellectual someone has recorded. [suspenseful]
I do play computer games when I feel bored. Yes, brain dead is another time I do play computer games. However, I do not feel myself wasting time. Afterall, it is time I am not able to do anything productive. By playing computer games, it helps me to workout my mind. I just have to limit myself not to go overboard, which at times is tough. I tend to "work" overtime into late at night, few hours past bed time. [whyaskq]
Me, Me, Me!!! Since I've been staying with my daughter and her family sometimes I have to escape the noise and mayhem of kids and tv programs that I would not watch anyway so I go to my bedroom and play spider solitaire or lately, bejeweled. It passes the time but now I have discovered I have to keep the door closed cause the 6 and 7 year old kids will sneak to watch. They have no clue that I am trying to have some quiet time away from them! Too bad I don't have any thing else to do. Of course I could read, but I can only do so much of that at one sitting. [jillmalitz]
No I do not. Even though I have lots of games here in my box which includes offline games, online games and mini games(like popcap, bigfish and etc) but still I play it a few times in a month. It really relaxes my brain after work because I also do not want think anything serious after work. Its good to waste your time playing games in computer. [emojboy]
I do play all kinds of gams in pogo. But mainly after I get all emails done [Lakota12]
Thankfully I haven't had any game addiction. O_O I used to play a lot in the past but I could still control it. At the moment I never play games anymore, It's like I no longer feel the thrill when I'm playing. Instead I devote my time to learning things that may be useful for me in the future. ;) [versio9]
sometime i play games in my computer just for a meantime just to relax my brain to lessen the workload of my brain but most of my time i really enjoy spending my time on my account in mylot and some of my PTC account spending my time in PTC and mylot is not wasting my time because while i'm learning by reading the other's opinion i'm also gaining in this account and to the other PTC. i fell happy while im doing this. pursuing my objectives i know that someday i can get my prize in doing this. [skyla26]
I think this is called addiction. Once you are addicted it is difficult to get rid of it but still not impossible. You can try your best so that you can have control over your mind. Even if you are helpless you should only play few games around 15-20 minutes only. And try to avoid it after words this will definitely help you. Best of luck Enjoy your gaming session [rakesh284]
Computer games are a waste of time the first week after you start playing the game the more I play a game the more sick of the game i get after that first week thats why i try not to get addicted. [mayerm12]
I play a lot on coputer...most of free time [advancecpl]
no, its not a waste as long as you enjoy playing and do not play over long periods of time. it should be considered a reward after a long day's work, not a free treat [KupoSin]
I never spent my time to play a computer game. I usually use my computer for work and do some programming exercises. For me wasting time for playing computer is a bad activity. It can make people lazy. :D [jimbo88]
rasp LOL, I can certainly relate to that. I am retired but have become addicted to a game on Winster.com called slot social. Have to play every day to feel satisfied and it takes a couple of hours. You earn points and trade them in for various prizes. I cash in a $10 Amazon.com gift card every couple of months. I just keep telling myself that I'm saving lots of money and that justifies my hours spent online. Actually I just enjoy it. [nova1945]
i am constantly a game player, i find it as fun and leisure just to play games and most times i play game as just to problems at that moment.computer games are fun and for me i play alot of action games, which i have found out that i am addicted to, before i thought i was just doing it for the fun but as time went it got serious that if i don't play computer games for a day i will think am falling sick.I kind of like games so much [Shynepapin]
I dont really play computer games. i just stay surfing the net and chatting with my friends. [Absinto]
I don't play world of warcraft or any other shooting games. Mainly because I don't like shooting things - even if they're animated things. I do, however, spend a fair amount of time (about an hour a day) playing online scrabble. I only do that so I can get better at playing in person scrabble which I do every Monday. Next time I enter a tournament, I'm not going to get my behind handed to me. [cripfemme]
I used to be hooked on computer games in the past, but not so much as of late. [zerohour]
i have had that phase and it wasnt until I spent 10 hours straight in front of the computer that I realized I needed to stop. now that I look back, those were hours I could have easily spent doing more important things. sadly, time is something we cant really take back. [maanrodriguez]
I can certainly relate. In the end though, I think it depends mainly on what you bought a computer for. For me, I bought it as a means of winding down after a day of work(if I'm not out with friends or have some other previous plans out of the house), so it does the task it was intended for when I purchased it. If someone bought the computer as a means to work from home, then yeah, it can become a hinder with the other distractions it can provide. In the end, if it's not really hurting you with your life outside(work, sleep, etc) then it's not a huge problem in my opinion. [nevaul]
i like to play games too i am 32 years old and i am playing games as long as i know myself. I don't thing it is waste of time, it actually helps to make your brain work and great mental exercise , no matter which kind of game it is, It keeps your thinking and everything active and i think i will be able to play as long as my eyes and my hands let me :) [zabawaus]
I play a lot on iwon but now I do games on my space way to much time spend there lol [Cajunhellcat]
Oh yes i have to admit that i do play these games & sometimes they are a lot of fun...After playing for awhile though i get tired so i just shut them down.....It is actually a waste of time but its fun.... [slickcut]
Oh yes. Worse than that, before I got my computer, I would play Yahtzee with dice, all the time..when I got up, after work, after dinner, before bed - you know how it goes. I would write down my scores and then figure averages and so on...talk about needing to get a life. My partner would often play with me. I still play on the computer but I have included Hearts, Backgammon and Patience as well. Also a game called Greedy, also based on a dice game. Like you it's something to do with my brain but I'm not sure what it means. My Dad, who is 95, plays patience (with real cards) for hours on end. [MsTickle]
Yes, I always play games as long as I am free. I know it will waste many time of mine, but I can help to do. I think I have been the addictied of it. [freerr]
I have had my times when I find a new game online and become addicted to it. For a few months, I am hooked. Just when I think that I am becoming hopeless, I get totally bored with the game. It is good to play games online to relax and unwind. This is when I do most of my deep thinking. [Rozie37]
