yes. my brother use it when he needs to chat with his wife who is in canada. I lend it also to my cousins when they have assignments and research. [iloveciao]

We all have our own computers. The desktop in the computer room is my work computer, but I do share it with my husband. He is not on it much. I have a laptop that no one uses but me. And that is how I like it...lol [saigonwarrior]

i have a desk top and a laptop, and my s/o also has a desk top and laptop, so even though it wouldn't bother me if he did use mine, he doesn't really have any reason too. his daughter just got a laptop for christmas, so she uses it now instead of his desk top. [palonghorn]

i am willing to share, i think it is not a big deal, but i don't need to, since everyone in my house has their own computer. we just share the internet connection. [congli86]

There's only my husband and I, and he doesn't like computers, so I have it all to myself. Happy myLotting Snowqueen [snowqueen2008]

One person one computer. If not, that one person one account [metababy]

We only have one computer at home. And I have two brothers. It's ok for me to share my computer with them. It is not a big deal for me after all they were still my brothers and not other people. But I jut reminding them to take care of it once they are using the pc. I really need to share it to them because they are still studying and every now and then, they are making their research for their projects and sometimes their assignments that cannot be found in the book.My mom also ask me sometimes to look for something in the internet like for the recipe that she wants to cook.ANd sometimes my dad is using it when he wants to play online games like scrabble or chess.SO I enjoy sharing it with my family. I do love to help them. [eynjel05]

Me and my daughter share this computer. Its not bad. When she ask for it, I usually let her have it. I stay up much later than her. So I know I will have time later. We get along really well. It works out okay. [walkthetalk]

My partner and I have a desktop which is fairly new. Well it is a year old and in general terms that is fairly new to us as our old one was almost 10 years old when we replaced it. We also have a laptop but it too is old and very very slow but it does work and that is the main thing I suppose. We do share the computers and which one I get to use depends on whether or not my partner is on it when I decide it is time to get on the internet. It can be difficult sharing sometimes but we work our way around the situation all the same and as I am the one who uses the laptop most generally if we both want or need to be on at the same time, then I can easily use the laptop. Also sometime when I am away from home I will take the laptop with me. I cannot get online when I am away but there are times when I can type responses to some discussions in Word. Then when I get home, I can cut and paste them here to myLot which does help a little bit. [oldboy46]

nope as we have three laptops at home.. i've been using my notebook for years, doing blog opportunities and other internet stuff.. i have plans of replacing my old school notebook with a new one, a dell or hp laptop will do.. [gracie04]

yes. we still share computers at home. [fsound]

yes...i share computer with other member..because my family is there so i have to share there is no other way i have..but a part from this i like personal computing [aatif_999]

If flow of money is there nothing is difficult we can have our own things but think of those people who can not do this.In my home there are two computers one is of my son,s that is laptop and one is of my another son,s but we will share and work without any difficulty. [etranger]

I actually have two teenage sons who's addicted to special forces game. It's like we're in a battle field or something. We actually have 2. A laptop and a desktop. I use the desktop for my work and I practically spend 8 hours a day in front of a computer. But when they come home from school the battle begin. After doing their homework, they would play on the desktop because they cant play their favorite game on the laptop. I get angry sometimes because the laptop is kinda old and its really slow. But I can't get angry with my kids. I let them play as long as they're done with their homework. [burnek]

i do share my computer with other members of my family.my husband and me both share our rooms so naturally we share computers.other than that my husband's nieces and nephews also are sharing this computer with me playing games on bratz.com.they are always interested in coming to my room for playing games,so i share my computer with anybody i get a chance. [junaidp]

Im the only one who uses my computer. My girls have their little learning toy laptops and they are only 3 & 4 [hllywdprncss76]

I share it with my brother. Personally I dont have a problem, unless he asks me to get up when I am on the computer :) [joystick7]

yes i share my computer with my brother and sister.. but not with diferent user.. we all login through the admin keep postin [goopss]

I share my computer with my daughter, but i ma the major user and she uses it some times when i am in office or am busy doing somethng else. i get to use it when i need it. I have given my daughter a computer but she has it in her hostel so when she comes home then she uses mine. she only comes on vacatins so most of the time i have the computer to myself. [mercuryman3a]

I used to share my computer with my brother. Now he has a laptop. But I still use the shared one. And sometimes I can use his laptop. [zhangfzoe]

Hi ya apples99 Somtimes I allow my sons to have a go on my laptop but rarely. They have their own computer (a bit dated but a PC nevertheless) but they don't have access to th internet on theirs. The trouble is that when I get my laptop back the screen is like upsidedown and the letters have been changed into numbers. It takes me a while to get things back to normal so that is why they rarely get to have a go!! [Humbug25]

Hello. Yes I share my computer, I share my computer with my husband. My son has his own computer because I didn't want to take a chance and share mommy & daddy's computer with him because he probably would of deleted all of my photos by accident..LOL.. He has actually accidentally deleted a lot of short cuts on his desktop just by playing around and learning his computer ( he's 7)..Me and my husband do use different browsers. I use Firefox and he uses IE .We need a larger hard drive though because we collect and upload photos on our computer like crazy all the time.I do wish I still had my own laptop because I miss being able to lay in bed and watch t.v. while being online at the same time during the evening, it's a great way to relax. Sometimes I do find it hard to share because I don't like a bunch of games installed on my system because it slows down the computer and my husband is a gamer and he is always installing new games. He's more of a virtual junk collector then me also. [cassandralynn]

i am the main user of the computer but my wife would at times use the computer too for some chatting purposes with her friends. Most of the time, i am using it for gaming and online purposes. My wife have a laptop but she seldom used it and i dun like to use a laptop and prefer a desktop. [chiaeugene]

i am sharing my computer with my cousins. i don't use my computer every time, only on my vacant hours after school. so, everyone is free to use it in our house. and we pay our internet connection monthly so we better use it frequently. when i need to use the computer, they give way to me so it is so ok for me to share my computer.:D [lhenax15]

hello my fellow myLotter, fortunately i do not have to share my laptop with any members of my household. i had purchased a desktop for my daughters to be on so they won't be on mine. lol. happy posting! [caskins]

I let my son use my computer some, he's 6. He likes to play games on it & chat on yahoo some with his cousins. Other than that it's only me that uses mine. My son's father has his own computer because he works from home on his. I could see where it'd be hard to have/share a family computer because i spend a lot of time on mine. So having more than 1 person using 1 computer as much as i use mine would be hard. I also do a lot of work on mine too. [halynn]

well in my case , we have a single computer at home which the whole family uses. i use it most of the time, but i do have to give it up when asked... that is a problem, while i game a lot and end up stopping he game at the end of a level without saving it. in such cases i feel that having a laptop for myself would be so good... [venkimi]

Since that is kind of my field of work i always buy the computers since i know what the best stuff is on it. But my wife always uses it as well so it's no big deal. We just set up different user accounts on the computer so she doesn't see my stuff and i don't see hers. Mostly because alot of my stuff is work related and i don't want her messing it up. [dookie03]
thats great you keep seperate account. It is good option to keep privacy. Did you and your wife feels like knowing about each other stuff. [anjalisharma_iipm]

I have a laptop that I share with my wife. She does like to shop online and check her email. My kids used to jump on from time to time just to surf around though we just purchased a couple of laptops for them so now they have their own and they is no more fighting for their turn on my computer. It works out great happy. [rjbass]

yes I share my laptop with my family members. but they are not that much expert in this so i can keep my private documents safe . I avoid to show my laptop to experts [anjalisharma_iipm]

Hello...happy I used to have my own computer back in the Philippines. But now, I am here with my fiance and he owns a computer. He lends me his computer hehehe... Hope I can have my own computer, somedaywhistle [hornetlover]

i do, and its not that difficult at all. I have a roomate and we split on the pc so its both of ours i guess. we just set up two different accounts, so we have our own stuff on each account. works out well. [cloudstrife]

Hi There! Yes, we do share computers at home. We have 1 desktop PC and a laptop at home but we share them as always since we all use computers. All my cousins and siblings are in college and high school so they need to use computers for their projects or research. As for me, since I am working, I still use them but not as often as before, I use it when I chat with my man or if I need to do some updates from home for my work. [jesbellaine]

I have the benefit to live alone. it´s wonderful to have my laptop for myself [ennasus59]

Hi, friend I am having only one system in my home and in my home there are 14 members out of this 8 members use the system and all the members are very much familier with the operating of a system, It is better to use the system by multiple users so that the system will be fine. [imtooz]

Five of us share the pc. Its not too bad in the week as I get the pc in the mornings and after 9pm as hubby at work, come weekends we have to do a lot of sharing. This means come monday I have loads and loads of e mails from my friends in mylot ot answer. I can normally keep semi up to date during the week, but weekends I just fill my box up and answer a few when and if I can [Anne18]

Hi friend, We have only one computer in our house.Every body has a right of sharing the computer. It is common to each and every member of our family.Mostly i and my brother uses the system more often.Almost i will be on the system throughout the day.Only my brother comes here to play or check his mails.Thats all.Apart from that i generally use the system to surf the internet as much as i can lol Have a nice day [sudhajosyula50]

My fiance and I do, indeed, share the computer. We're both gamers, and we're both internet addicts and message board frequenters. That's how we met. It was becoming increasingly difficult to share the computer, as we both wanted to use it for different reasons at the same time, and so we actually built a second "gaming" computer. We made sure it had more than the minimum requirements for Crysis, and plenty of memory and storage. Now, one of us can play new games on this computer while the other plays older games (Sim City 3000 at the moment) or surf the web on the other. It definitely helps keep the peace in our technological love nest. [JeztheNun]

There are four people living in my household and each one of us has our own laptop so I do not have to share mine. We do though let each other use the others laptop if one wants or needs to. [ButterflyBear]

I never share my computer to others besides my family. My friends and my neighbors are forbidden using my computer. [wanris]

Yes, I share a computer with my fiance. It's not a problem for us because he works fuul-time so I use it when he is at work. I usually stay on it until he asks for it, which isn't very often. I do money making sites and he usually only checks his email. [camomom]
