Hello friends,
Ive seen my brother typing very fast and He uses all of his fingers in his left and right hand. It is so nice to look at. I tried also using all my fingers in typing but my typing speed becomes slower than the usual that i do. It becomes hard for me to do typing for i am not use to it. I only use my 3 middle fingers of my left and right hand. sad

Oh yes, Margarit, I use all of my fingers and both thumbs when I am typing on a computer keyboard. I would be so slow if I only used my three middle fingers. [Transdisc]
Well, yeah, I do use all of my fingers when I type. It's the only way I learned to type... when I got my computer my parents bought me typing software and I learned how to type this way immediately, and trust me, once you get it, you will type really quickly :) [chickencereal]

Yes, I do. It's a matter of practice and I use computer a lot. I am in front of computer for 15-18 hours a day. I use in my work, at home and if I am out. I cannot live without computer. I can even type without looking at the keyboard. Even if the keyboard in desktop and laptop are different, I can easily adjust to it. Hahaha. I can type for 65 words per minute so it's one of the reasons why I can post a lot here in myLot. My friend can type for 52 words per minute using only 2 fingers. That is really amazing. I was surprised when I saw her practicing typing like that. lol [bianroxas]
Wow, i havent spend that much time in the computer, Anyways my work doesnt require to use computer so i only use computer at home. I think i spent for 2 to 3 hours a day most of the time and the maximum time i spend here is 8 hours during rest day, i cant stay long at the computer, i always have a break for 15 minutes for every hour. thanks for the respond.happy [Margarit]

I am a two fingers typist but I can type really well. I don't use my left hand very often so my motor skill is not very good. Still I don't make a lot of mistakes when typing. [zalilame]

Yep, redzredula is right. The only way to type quickly is to use all your fingers. It takes a lot of practice, but after a while you get used to it. I also use my thumbs to hit the space bar. It is incredibly important on a pay-per-post website. Two finger typing is just too slow. Invest the time in practicing your typing and it will be well worth your while. Cheers. happy [bayernfan]

it depends... i guess for the most part i use most of my fingers. My left hand doesn't really move around on the keyboard but my right one does lol and i'll type with one hand or less fingers if i am doing something. i think i use all my fingers on my left and hand and only three or four on my right. hi friend, Typing with both the hands is the right way ,but I type with only one finger on my right hand.I got used to this and am not able to type the other way.People who learnt typing must be doing it with both the hands as we did not learn typing we do it as it is convenient for us.You use three fingers but I use only one finger on my right.I dont use my left hand also.Only my pointing finger on my right hand .I learnt to do it with great speed nowadays after joining mylot. thanks for sharing .happy mylotting. I took typing in high school, a long time ago, and so I use all my fingers and the the thumb, mostly for the space bar. I can still type quite fast when I am typing something that is long enough for it to make a difference, but since I don't do a ton of typing I tend to make more mistakes than I used to. Most of the time I notice the mistakes immediately and just backspace to correct them. [stealthy]

Yeah, I do that too, I am able to type fast and I always use all the fingers in my hands. Maybe it's because we had a course on typing way back in highschool. But you know what, it isn't too late, you could easily study that by yourself. Buy yourself a good typing book and follow the instructions, sooner or later with proper practice you'd soon type like your brother. =) Good luck! There's nothing to it, remember, it's not yet too late. Knowing how to type fast with all your fingers would not only look good, but it would also increase your production time because you won't need to look at the keys to type, you'd memorize the keys and letter and typing would be as normal as talking. =) [antoinettechua]

Hi Margarit , I have also use my all fingers in his left and right hand , yes it is a nice feeling not only to look at but also to do and before that I was using only my few finger similar to you and in the begining of the parctice I have also got frustrate what my spedd became slower that the usual but I keep practice using typing tutor available on my compamy and yes after three month I can now suggest you that yes its the best way of using the key board , in the begining i was also watched to my senior who was typing in very fast speed and without wathcing on the screen it was so nice feeling for me that how expert they are but now I am on that stage and can advise you for same that just keep practice and within month when you will be able to tpye first line character without watching and speedly then it will definetly increase not only you confidence but also you speed, happy mylotting :-) [moneymaya]

Yes, I use all my fingers when typing. And the more I type, the faster I go. I hate when I get to the point to where I'm typing faster than I'm thinking and start making a lot of errors. I tease my husband because he uses only his index fingers. I refer to him as a 'hunt and pecker' typer because he's always looking at the keys. [sanjo0679]

Yes I use all my fingers and my speed is not bad though there is still lots of room for improvement. I still have to look at the keyboard when I switch from capital to small letter or when I need other symbols. Still I am not completely sure if my fingers are always stroking the right keys. I did only a short typing course when I was a child and all the rest is practice and practice. Typing here is helping me to go faster though never as fast as I would like to. [overwings]

Hello, Margarit. I do use all my fingers. People get impressed when they see me typing. They say they have never seen anything like that. Some say they wanted to be like me at typing. But I don't find it hard, at all. I do use all my fingers and I do not look to the keyboard while typing. It is easy. If you are using a keyboard like mine, all you have to do is place your index fingers in the "f" and in the "j" keys. Each of them has some kind of texture which will allow your fingers to feel it. Place your fingers there. The second finger of each hand goes on the "d" and in the "k". The third, on the "s" and on the "l". The fourth goes on "a" and "ç" (ç in my keyboard). Use your index finger to type the words near J, such as U Y H N M, perhaps even the B. Start by trying to write sentences, no matter how slow you are, but using all of your fingers. "I am trying to write with all my fingers". You press the "I" with your second finger of the right hand. Use your thumb to press space. The "A" pressed by the 4th finger of the left hand, followed by "m", used by your index finger of the right hand. Do not remove any other fingers from the keyboard. You must only move the finger that you are using, the others stay on their keys. Thumb - space. "Tr" with the left index finger. "Y" with your index right finger. "I" with the second finger of the right hand. "N" with the index of the right hand, while the "G" is pressed with your left index. Space - thumb. So, you already have I am trying. I guess you got it. You are already trying. Just keep writing sentences, different sentences every time you try. No matter how slow you are, you will get an incredible speed if you master this skill like that. I use both hands when I type. I find that just using one hand is very slow. I much prefer to use both hands when I type. It's a lot quicker, I find. I feel more comfortable using both hands. [dodo19]
