While I use my computer for 96% of my internet use, I do use my cellphone on occasion. A couple of days ago just for something different, I downloaded a couple of games. I also looked up a youtube video I wanted to show a friend, and now and then I'll dash off a quick message to someone (my step-daughter and I text fairly often). This little convenience is nice, but I still prefer my good old fashioned (wow I never thought I'd say old fashoned for this) laptop. :) I love the fact that I have a bigger screen, larger keyboard, more space, and it costs less. However when I'm on the go, the cellphone is a handy to access the internet.

I use the laptop over the cellphone anyday. I like the laptop because it has a bigge screen and also because it has more information. On the cellphone I cant check my email, although I am supposed to be able to do it, and it is something that bugs me. I like using the laptop also because I have it in my living room and it is prety comfortable for me to be able to do so. [snowy22315]

I don't access the internet on my cell phone often, but I do have an iPod Touch that I use to browse the internet. I definitely prefer accessing the internet from my computer! I volunteer with shelter dogs every week, and when I'm with the dogs I do have some downtime where the dogs are sleeping and stuff. Once I learned my cell phone had unlimited browser use my daughter grabbed my phone and looked up Facebook. I tried once but the screen is just so small, I would rather save it for my computer. yeah, i lost my cellphone already that i used to browse the internet. i am just only a basic phone now. it is hard to use the phone for browsing the internet. the screen is small and also it is hard to type in the words in the cellphone keypad. but there are bigger cellphone with qwerty features. but still it is easier to use the computer than the cellphone. on computer we don't have to worry of getting drained of battery. and also it is much easier to use the mouse in navigating the webpage. and also the monitor of computer is much better. there are some sites that are not available on the cellphone. that is why i don't like to use it for that purpose any more. but i gained more appreciation on my computer when i learned that cellphone is not really good for internet surfing. and now i am more addicted to my computer than to a cellphone. I really do not have the internet on my cellphone. I do have an application that will allow me to check my email, use instant messaging and check the weather or news, but it is NOT the internet. I cannot browse to websites through it, I can only go to the sites that the application has listed. I have tried using internet on my cell phone occasionally. Frankly speaking, I did not enjoy it much, due to limitations of mobile phone and its small screen. It is fine, when you are on the move and cannot access your computer, you can view your mails etc. through your cell phone, if you have already taken browsing facility on it. I always use my PC for the internet. While I do have internet on my phone I refuse to use it, just based on how expensive it is to use. My partner just got himself an iPhone, and now uses that for most of his internet surfing, even though he has a Mac. There are some things that he still needs the bigger screen for, but he likes the fact that if he see's something funny whilst at work or whatever, he can blog about it from his iPhone, instead of having to try and remember it when he gets home, beaten from work. I personally don't see the point of using internet on my phone. I would still prefer my computer. Its hard to do normal computer tasks using your celphone such as browsing and checking your emails. The only best thing about internet using your cellphone is portability and you manage to stay online and check important stuff when you have to do so. Big is beautiful these days. Even the PC screens, LCD and Plasma TVs have larger and larger screens, probably more for watching videos and movies. I have both a 22 inch and 19 inch LCD monitors for my two PCs, and use them to full advantage for watching movies and video clips I download from the internet. I will never want to use my cellphone for internet purpose, even more so for movies. The display is so tiny and watching these on the cellphone isn't enjoyable. As for general surfing and reading emails, I don't really have to do it on my cellphone on the go, because much of the time, I am sitting in front of my PC at home. I love my internet on my phone. I can type faster on the phone using T9 and I can also surf wherever I am. Well obviously it can't be compared with my pc cause there are so many differences. The internet on my pc is much much more faster than that on my phone.. So if i am in a hurry or if I wanna do any research work, I'll surely prefer my pc. I love my cell phone internet too... With both here with me I always go for my laptop. It is much easier and faster. But I think that cell phones are getting better with the 3G speed and would not want to be without if for on the go. You can't comfortably take your laptop everywhere with you so having the phone as a backup is great. I do not use it nearly as much as the laptop but would not want to be without either one. [tschu8]

I don't have a cell phone with internet browsing capabilities. I only have a prepaid tracfone. It is only for emergencies and when I need to call someone long distance. When I used to sell a lot on ebay I always wished I had a cell phone that could access the internet so that way I could research the things that would sell and wouldnt sell before buying them. If I was able to look them up before buying them it would have saved a lot of hassle when down the road I had to return them. I wouldnt have had to buy them at all if I could have accessed the internet while I was shopping and get the information I needed at the time. I think that with my internet addiction having a cell phone that could go on the internet would just be bad for me. I have tried it via 3G which is kinda slow and expensive just to get quick access to movie listings, etc. I didn't like it as the page on a small screen just doesn't look as good. If I have an iPhone or something like that, I might enjoy the experience more. i use the internet on a phone if it was a pda phone , like the ones coming out today like the iphone and the sony experia because it can access any available wifi but if it was an ordinary phone using gprs then i would put it off until i get home or office to check on my emails or browse. wyhy would i want to pay more where i have for free in my home and office, unless , it is very very important that i have to go to the internet. I'll use my cell when I'm out and about for internet but its not something I rely on. I'd rather use my big monitor to look stuff up. If I do use my cell with the web I have to spend more time scrolling around to see the screen. Now if there was a way to project your cell screen onto a larger area that would be cool. i use my mobile phone to browse most of the time now, but in the past i rely on computer internet access, though my mobile phone as a result of its capacity limits what i can use it to do. i cant browse all the web i want to unless those that are mobile compiliant since i dont use mobile browsers like firefox [megaplaza]

Personally for now, I am using my Computer the most for all of the Internet stuff I am doing. When I get a Blackberry, I will have interenet capabilities on my phone, so then I will probably find myself doing a little more on there. I might even try posting here in myLot from time to time if I can as well. The only thing is Cellphones have so small of screens and usually not as quick of connection so being on a Computer can be the Best thing for sure. [KrauseHome]
Oh yes...if I am not at home and on the computer I am on the internet on my cell phone...I check on my sites, emails, IM with friends and also all them texts that I do daily...I would be lost with out my computer and cell phone. [hoghoney]
