hi there people, i've never changed my computer, i mean that i've never changed my whole computer, all hardware, monitor, mouse and the other things, i've changed some of my hardware components like graphic card, main board, processor, RAM and some vents. i think i'll change other componets in a near future, maybe the first will be the graphic card. And what about you? Have you ever changed your computer? Thank you for your responses :)

Ive changed simple stuff keyboards, switched to wireless mouse, added a graphics tablet, and learned how to change out a bad ethernet card. Ive been interested in upgrading to a better graphics card also just that gets into compatablity issues with other parts im sure. Guess best thing to do is hit up the most knowledgable computer guy in your local best buy store if ya have one and say hey what will work with what i have lol.I do stress , knowledgable in that last statement because some of the guys that work at ours will tell ya just about anything to make a sale lol. Now days computer componets dont seem that hard to install if you have something thats not going to interfer with other parts. [good2go2001]
I did change my whole computer for about three times,I did the upgrade because the processor become to slow compare with existing computer in that era.Anyway, If I still can play my favorite game and install latest softwares, I will keep it. I've never change or modified the component for the same reason and also normally the price most likely cheaper than upgrade component only. [dwightsunee]
Yes, but I brought my current computer after sold my first computer two years. By the way, it's better to buy a new computer instead of upgrade old one. That is my point. It's not as fast as a total new computer if you just replace one or several important components. [pengbubu]
hi codris, regarding computer changing i have got the computer recently, but i have changed two times the mouse, formatting, settings, anti virus software etc etc for the time being, mine new one so i need not change all things not now,may be later, have a nice day [yugasini]
Yeah the components had to be changed a few years ago. They were getting old and had degraded. So it was kind of necessary to change that part. In fact, most of my computer is not the original. The only part that is original is the keyboard. The components, the monitor, the mouse, the speakers, and the printer have all been changed. A couple of them multiple times in fact. The biggest and most expense change would have to be the hardware components. [megamatt]
hello codris, I had my computer upgraded last year,so,it needs to change some hardware, like memory and hard disk. And,also had to change the keyboard and mouse for new ones, since my kids were complaining some discomfort of directing mouse and keyboard getting hard button letters to press. Have a good weekend happy [jaiho2009]
Yes. I tried to upgrade every time I can to get the best out of my machine. I was a used of 486 before now I have Dual Core PC. I am planningfor a Quad core or for a MAC. [jr041283]
I was my first computer for 5-6 years. Now I'm with new from about an year ago. But I'never ungraded. I think that using a computer without any upgrading 5 years are more than enough :) It means the computer was with very good potential for it's time. I hope I'll have no problems with my new one :) But maybe I'll think about upgrading this time. [stand87]
* I used my first computer ... sorry for the mistake :) [stand87]
Hi there ! yea I have changed my computer once ! but yeah...haven't changed anything for about 5 years now...so yea...my computer is old and performing bad...but I'm waiting for the new stuffs to come out ! and yes my patience did pay off today Intel released the newest 32nm cpu! haha but I think I'm going to wait a bit for the price to drop a bit then I'm going to change a new computer hehe ! From my point of view changing part is changing computer haha because computer are made of many different individual parts, but since you have upgraded them then that pretty much means changed to a new computer especially you mentioned about the main parts eg, mother board, graphic card, processor, ram ...vent haha...but yeah no offense ! just my point of view : ) [127dayx]
yes ive already changed it....i have 4 pc's on my house [Hawnkblade]
Upgrading computer is quite easy. I'e changed alot of things in mine, i build couple of PC's for my friends. And that's what I did with mine. http://borysatwork.info/case/Image00461.jpg [unnamedny]
I can say that i changed my computer . I have my old computer at home, but i buyed a laptop for me, because i am at college in another city and it was hard for me to travel with a desktop computer . But my old one from home, have 7 years and i changed some parts and it`s quite good for his age . I`m proud of that, even if it`s slower . [delkar]
I just recently had them add windows to my computer. I have a new keyboard and mouse. I have the same wires though. I have another modem I will be putting in the shop as well. I will be buying a new monitor for that computer. [giftsandbagscom]
No. I have never changed my computer since five years. I only changed my operating system and enhanced my memory. However recently my daughter bought a laptop for her college use. [Buchi_bulla]
Well, yes, because when personal computers were first invented, changing them out was pretty much a necessity. You could not just go down to the store and buy one already assembled. [drannhh]
yout computer is very goog . i change my computer evey about one year [ldqiang]
Yes,i have changes it once.I think with out upgrading our computer,it is not possible to run new operating system and other application software. [sreejithsreenivas]
Well, I owned a desktop when I was a postgraduate. It worked very well and never broke down. So I changed nothing about it. But the bad thing is it's not convenient to carry. You have to put it in a large package, which brings much trouble. So when I graduated and had to move to another city, I bought a HP laptop and I've also changed nothing about it up to now. I think the most important thing in using a computer is we have to use it with great care. [chenxiaoyue_713]
I am using my laptop, and the only thing I changed about it is the mouse hehehe. But on our PC, the monitor and the printer, has been changed already. [kafueenu]
I have changed my video card and my lan card because both of them was not working at all so i need to but i want to change my ram and power tranformer [rajhussain]
As a matter of fact, I changed my computer this past summer. I changed everything from my monitor, video card, ram, hard drive, as well as my computer case. I absolutely love my new computer! I got all the parts for fairly cheap because it just so happened that the parts I wanted were on sale. Now I can play top-notch games with no lag. I even got a new modem which was kind of a bonus! [tangurama]
I never changed my whole computer, when LCD monitors arrived I switched from CRT monitor to LCD and I did when prices came down. Then recently upgraded my CPU because some software's are struggling to open and RAM cannot be much upgraded because my motherboard does not support more than 2 GB. So, I changed CPU only without changing my monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, DVD drive, HDD as well.. That's my story.. [madhuvamsi]
I have sold my first computer, and even had its mother board changed during the warranty period.Currently i am using a laptop and well i had the laptop design changed. The outer cover broke out time and i had to replace it.I never changed the componented for the sake of upgrading. All the changes were part of maintainence.Good to see, you are maintaining your computer well, though you did not mention how long the computer had been with you. Thanks! [UltimateAsoka]
I am not one who is good with only upgrading certain components of a computer in order to get it working if it breaks down. If it is something replaceable at an affordable price, then I may change one or two components. However, I am one who prefers to pamper myself with a new computer because I know the new one had all the components which should work well with each other to produce good enough speed. I have changed my computer several times - started with a desktop computer that ran on Pentium 486 to a laptop running on a Core2 Duo. [starlight70]
I have only gotten this computer back March and I have not changed anything. Well I had to reformat it only because the place where my dad bought it in the US put a password for some reason so there. But I am planning to add additional stuff like a nice mouse and a nice thing to clean my laptop. [sublime03]
I am very often to upgrade my computer, because now a days, many new games use high resource to playing. I was change mainboard. processor, memory and also VGA Card. But my old PC still I using it for browsing internet. [anasutio]
I have never changed my computer too. I just repair my computer when it broke. I never want spend my money to buy a new computer. It's expensive. And I don't really care about VGA or RAM because I just you my computer to browse the internet. Hehehehe. [andryan7legends]
I'm on my 4rth computer. My first was way back in the 80's. For it's day it was a racing computer. I had a 20 MG hard drive and both types of floppies. No one put both in a computer, but I told my computer guy I wanted it. Then in about 6 months everyone was doing it. This was an old DOS based system. Pre Windows. Windows didn't exist yet. If it has been a few years, you will have to change the whole thing. All the connections are different now. I recently had a motherboard that fried. I wanted to just get a new motherboard, CPU and fan. No dice. I had to get a new computer. It was very expensive, but I had no choice. I am going to take my 2 old computers and make one that works. [TheCatLady]
I think the only thing I've never changed on a computer is the mother board. I've changed all the hardware, I've changed/added hard drives, graphic cards, power supplies, added RAM, reformatted hard drives, the whole shabang. I love tinkering with computers more than being online. I'd love to take a computer repair course to fill in of the technical stuff I don't know or understand. [tcup345]
Yes i have changed my whole computer recently...even though i used some older parts. like. keyboard and mouse. Well i had Pentium 4, 3 Ghz,which i had bought about 6 years ago. I had only 40Gb hard disk at beginning, later i added 160 more. I added extra DVD RW , since i only had CD ROM before. I also increased my Ram from 128MB to 512. i Changed my mouse, keyboard. I added UPS also. i also added 128MB Nvidia Graphics card. In spite of all these updates my computer was too old. I wanted to have core 2 duo...for that i had to change my mother boards. so in the end i changed everything...and sold my old computer. I bought new lcd monitor and threw the old Big junk!! away. now i have core2 duo, 512 Nvidia graphics 4 gb ram, enough to play latest games! :) [acisMahrje]
I have changed things in my desk top, and added parts to it. I use a laptop now. I do not know how to do anything to it. I am glad it works fine. I would like to learn how to work on it, and if anything happens to it, I might try to fix it. Have a great day. [jezzmay]
hmm, i do have changed my computer. not the components, wink but all computer. in the past i bought a desk computer, when it still can run, i gave it to my brother, and bought a new lattop. i dont know how to change components. [yolanda19191]
I usually get a new computer every 2 years, like completely new. I have kept a couple of my old computers around the house for a backup or to put a different operating system on or whatever. I get cranky if my computer runs too slow so that is why I always upgrade. It is probably a waste of money for me and I would be better off just slowly upgrading my components like you do, but it's probably the only thing that I waste money on, we all have to have a vice lol. [ethereal1]

hi dude comming to me i have changed my computer parts many times becoz the basic the problem with my system is i some times it gettings short circut and i have lost my smps power supply and also my hard disk which is not working so the only option for me was changing the parts of it by replacing them with the new one... any one who faced the same problem? [jingjak11]
Yes I have upgraded the memory in my computer. This made my computer work more effectively but it was not very fast.I have not changed any of the parts. The computer still works well. but it is extremely slow. I actually bought a new one. [in4net6rix]
No. I haven't change my computer yet. The fact that I have no money to buy some peripherals on my computer... [aerous]
Hiya codris, We had to change the computer for a cheaper one because we could not afford the repair of the other one at the time it´s because we use it for work. However I have got used to all the ins and outs of this bad computer and now it´s not so bad but the other one is much much better when it´s working. [lovinangelsinstead21]
ive changed the parts of my computer once in my life. i had to change my motherboard, processor and RAM. i had to change them because they burnt out die to a power surge. i take extreme care of my new computer. now i use a surge protector and an interactive UPS. [thedark]
