Normally this isnt something that I would even think about!! but last year hubby had been taking classes out of state and bought a refurbished laptop from a local office store around us....and we have the desk top that me and my son uses.
well then after the first of the year, we came across a great deal and got another laptop due to helping out a friend when he was selling some stuff and hubby said I can have the second laptop after we had some work done on it since it wasnt working completely.... so of course I loved the idea. happy
We finally got the second laptop working and hubby's first laptop kind of went out on him so he is using the second laptop... and I still have my desktop!! glare
As I was cleaning up after my yard sale and trying to put some stuff away I had to move one of the laptops and wondered how many people have so many computers in there house!! lol

Well, I have a Laptop in my room. Then we have a family computer downstairs in the front room and my brother also has a computer in his room and then finally, there is the computer upstairs in my Mum's room. All together, we have 4. The annoying thing is, people always want to use my Laptop even though there are 3 other computers in the house. Naturally, I don't like people using my Laptop and have set a password on it. The only problem is, if I'm downloading updates and then I go out, I'm still logged on and people often take advantage of this and take my Laptop. I absolutely hate it when they do this because they have no right to take something of mine without asking or telling me. Oh, it makes me so angry when they do things like that. Why do they have to be so stupid? They have 3 other computers that work perfectly to use! [Sparkz95]

funny my hubby has 2 laptops now, and I have the desktop...and he is always going back and forth between his two... We officially have 3 computers in our house now. At one time there were four, but not anymore. lol Yea, 4 computers for 2 people - craziness!! See my husband had a laptop for both work and home and now I have my net book. I just have one computer and it's a desktop. That's all I can afford. I've been told that the laptops are not all they're cut out to be unless you're going to travel or whatever. There are 2 in my house, a laptop and a desktop. I use the laptop al the time and the deksopt does't get used unless I can't get something to work on my laptop. So, acatually, my desktop can be used as a backup as I had it first before I got my laptop. I like the idea, that I can watch tv while I am in here whereas the desktop is in another room. We have three computer in our house, compose of laptop, the color of it is black an gray it is an Acer, the second one is a desktop, since we were in grade school the computer was there, the color of it is creamy white, and the last one was a black computer it is a big shape and the tag of it was aoc, and the speed of all the computer was very fast in terms of internet and no internet. We have lots of computers in here, we have in our terrace so that children could play if they want to. I have my own laptop in my room so that I can use it when ever I need to use it. My son has its own he use it for his self. and bringing that also in school if necessary. My daughter has its own too. So that when ever we want to use it we all can use our own laptop. [smart44]

I bought my first computer, a desktop, a few years ago. Last October, I cleaned a house, and I mean really cleaned it in return for a laptop. It works, but it has to be stationary or it turns off. That laptop, I let my kids use when they want to practice typing. I don't let them get on-line, but I think that they do need to have typing skills. A couple of weeks ago, I bought another laptop. That it what I use most often now, although I still use my desktop also. I am the main computer user in my house. My husband only uses it when he has to, and as I said before, my kids are not allowed to get on-line yet. One is only a printer, while the other is a printer, copier, scanner, and fax. My reasoning for having things the way I do is purely for the ability for me to go into my room and be able to concentrate. I really need to buy a laptop, but given our current state of affairs financially, that is not likely to happen.
