Hi, I was just wondering how many people out there have more than one computer. I have three computers, one is old and falling part lol.

I have my laptop, im not sure if it is working as it was sent away to be repaired and i havent checked it since it arrived back lol i also have my desktop, which i use now but you have reminded me i really should check that laptop lol! [graceandowen]

2... And I love both of them. One is a PC ie a desktop running windows.. and a Black MacBook. Oh I love these babies.. I like them a lot and make sure that they are always in running condition. The MacBook is new, just 2 months old, so I do not have any trouble with it, but the PC is three years old now and its configuration is quite outdated. Im planning to upgrade the config to a better deal, but it would cost me the same as a new system. I do not want to sell this one as well, and not add some more to the scrap as well. Im so confused.. very cool so I take it Macbooks are good? I have used nothing but IBM since the 80's and I have never had a laptop yet. yeah keep that pc the way it is I was at that point too, I just bought a new one, like you said it's about the same price anyways and will last longer. [Esoteric1]
I have two computer.One is used in working,another is used at home .The first is bought 4 years ago,I used it more often.It is too old ,so that there is always some wrong with it .I like the other ,it is much new,and run faster.I can buy a newer and faster one by the same money.But I haven't the plan to buy a new pc just because money. Yeah older ones have the worst problems at least for me, tho I've had problems with newer ones too. Hopefully you will be able to afford a newer faster computer soon, they are alot cheaper now although it's still a lot of money. I plan to be getting another computer at the end of the year or the beginning of next year. [Esoteric1]

We have three computers as well at home. One is very old that i used when I was in college! it died on me 2 years after my graduation. I love that old pc! 2nd is the one that I bought last year. The newest is the laptop computer for wireless thingy, it has the WINDOWS vista edition. [jesbellaine]

i will have a laptop soon but now i just have a pc! It's old and i'm going to manually upgrade him soon. I'll also buy a new laptop somewere in december (yeah a long time from now) but then there are actions for christmas and the laptops are way cheaper then (like sometimes 20% off and thats a lot for me!) I think you'd be correct in that assumption that most people have only one computer. ha ha that is a little crzy to have a full room of them but with 3 here im not too far from it now myself. Yeah for most people 1 is more than enough, all it takes is some time and practice and computing is very easy "so easy even a caveman could do it" lol i had too [Esoteric1]
I have only one computer in my house, BUT i have the casing, and extra parts enough to build a second computer if I really wanted to, all I need is a mobo for it, i've got all the hdd, cables, disk drives, etc already [Chispa514]

Mostly are customers - well most of those in the store are my relatives' who are also my customers, haha. They don't need them anymore so they kinda like gave it to me. So I can sell the parts off as well ;) People here still do look for old parts like RAM & also CPUs plus I also auction them off on eBay. [zweeb82]
I have two notebooks. one Toshiba (the old one), back then I used it for working on index market. :P later the harddisk crashed and broken, so I decided to add a new one (Axioo) for my current job. and the old one, I installed a new harddisk, and decided to make experiments with it (installed linux, make it my offline webserver, etc) lol [bongkarpasang]

I do have a laptop and using just one at home. previously i do used two at home one being laptop and the other desktop. other than home, i will be using desktop at workplace. I feel desktop comfortable at workplace and laptop at home. what are your thoughts on this [s2a2n2]

I have a dozen usable computers running 1.4 ghz or better but I'm only using 8 at the moment. [bradhart]
Two are sitting under my desk at the moment sharing three monitors 1 gets used for graphics, document scanning and is my fax server and the occasional web surfing when I need multiple windows open, the other gets everything else. My wife has a desktop, but only uses it as a back up and music server in her office, we each have a laptop, I have one in the garage set to play music there or outside on the deck, another music center in the bedroom. In the next year or so I will probably add another for my son somewhere centrally where I can see it but will keep him off mine. [bradhart]
A lot! There is a total of 7 computers in the house! One belongs to my boyfriend, one I bought for my mum so that she can learn how to use a computer and the rest are mine! I don't use all of them though and they are all in working order - I'm just a bit of a gadget freak and like to buy the latest if I can afford it! [podqueen]
Yeah that certainly is a lot, I don't know what I would do with 5-7 computers. But I have 3 at the moment and I am planning on getting 2 more in the next year or two. Basically to stay up to date with the market as two of my computers are old and not upgradeable. I love gadgets too I wish I could afford more of them lol. [Esoteric1]
Oh wow, I have too many to list them all. Granted most of them are old. I have 2 desktops, 1 server and 1 laptop at my place. I left 4 desktops and a laptop at my familys house when I moved out. Out of all of those, only 3 of them are actually worth keeping but I just never know when an old box may come in handy :) [Badams]
That is a lot of computers, and yes you never know exactly when an old pc can remedy a new ones problems. I use all my old parts if and when that becomes available or unnecessary to do so. [Esoteric1]

Wow I haven't had a P3 in years none of my pc's before P4 lasted that long. I don't even think I could use anything less than a P4 with at least 2gb of ram at 1.6ghz. Anything less I think I'd pull out all my hair. So how about you do you use that P3 at all? or is it just in case your P4 goes down you have the other to use? [Esoteric1]
I have 2 computers and one is old, the old ones has only 64 MB in the hard disks. It is so slow even microsoft office can't install. Well the one is so good and I have more software to fix virus. I have a friend that can improve and optimize computer even you are far away. He just give you instructions and he can work your computer. You can see how he work and improve you computer. If you believe that kind of thing, be curious now and make your computer and internet faster. [denver_3s]
Thanks for reading the post and responding ... I'm glad you have a computer now that works well for your needs. I too know what it's like being stuck with slow computer that has problems installing things we might want in them. I certainly believe you about speeding up computers. I have been using computers for almost 20 years, I have had plenty of computers and I have over clocked a few of them squeezing more speed out of the cpu ram and gpu. I have the same one that I bought about 4 years ago.It has been repaired a few times,but is going well now.I would like to buy another one sometime soon to help with my workload,but it wll have to be a secondhand one. [JUNGLE]
Yeah 4 years old if it was up to date at the time is not so bad, tho probably still on the way out. I would definitely get another one when that becomes possible to do so. i have 1 desktop and 2 labtops right now im turning my vista into xp all my computers are gaming computers my desktop is a Sony Vaio but nothing in there is what came with it i changed everything out to be able to pwn noobs in gaming.. as for the labtops the are down for the momment in working on them and i have a dell mother board that i have to build a del labtop.. We have three computers in our house.One laptop is mine ,a laptop belongs to my partner and we have a spare desktop.the laptops are very good as they do not take up a lot of room,but the desktop is in bits at the moment in the junk room.We have taken it apart because it takes up too much space.But also the desktop is not wireless enabled.whereas the laptops are.Wireless is very good,the idea of having practically no cables is brilliant.and you can just sit in the evening and watch telly and type as well. Cool, I agree wireless is probably best tho I am still using wires. I don't trust security on wireless as I have seen even people I know go steal other peoples bandwidth. i have two computers. a desktop, and a laptop.. the desktop, my g/f uses, and than the laptop, of course, i use the most. I like the laptop better though than the desktop. It is so great and portable and i especially love the fact that you can get online through wi-fi without having nothing hooked to your laptop. you just hit your browser, and than wham! Your'e connected. LOL We don't even have any internet connection in our home. it is all through wireless and we both connect to the internet through wi-fi. [BUSSY1979]

I have more than one computer but only one of them is in working order. I have a Dell that I bought about 8 years ago but it stopped working. I am not sure what is wrong with it. I now have an Emachine that I am using. I would like to get the other one working one day and possibly have two computers in the household but I have to have an extra phone line to use them both at the same time since DSL is not available in my area yet.
