[question posted by lameran]
responses and comments:
i've damaged 2 keyboards already..first one, it was because I always pressed the keys too hard..the second, when i tried to clean it by removing all the keys and later i can't return back all the keys anymore.. [esioquim]
wow, same as me , 2 keyboard for entire live (until now) ^^!, are you trash your damaged keyboard or just put in a box? [lameran]
well i m lucky that i havnt face keyboard breakage problem. [mannu_india]
lucky you mannu india ^^ ... thankx for response. [lameran]
i haven't damaged any keyboard . but the first keyboard i bought has got its keys jammed. so i exchanged it for a new one. now i have logitech keyboard and it is working properly. [imrajesh]
hmmm .. how many years did you use that keyboard ? [lameran]
In over 6 years, my keyboard is okay. Only the letter on key was erased. But i did blow my processor because overheat :) [Pus2Meong]
wuw, 6 years only one keyboard , your keyboard is great, n you must be a calm person (maybe), since sometimes if I got trouble I smashed my keyboard (shame on me T__T) processor overheat ? do you overclock your processor ? what brand ? intel or amd or cyrix or ibm or the other ? [lameran]
i hav not faced this problem [195734687951235475]
heheheheehe, thankx anyway for the response [lameran]
The keyboard I have has been in use for 8 or more years now. The one that came with this computer never worked, so I was given the one I have now from a friend whose computer is no longer working and she don't have the money to get it fixed or buy a new one. So far I have never broken a keyboard, but my husband has broken 3 of the ones that he uses at work..opps. I keep telling him not to press so hard on the keys. [jeweledbluerose]
hehehehe from your opinion I know your a women ^^, may be your husband is just like me , which often slam my keyboard when somethin getting wrong. poor keyboard ^^. Hmmmm but seeing you use keyboard for 8 or more years is still fantastic, I can imagine, hands like yours is the hands that could use the laptop keyboard. I'm worried my self if touching laptop keyboard n getting mad, Ugh!. [lameran]
my first computer was assambeled, its keyboard was with some defective switches, now I have branded keyboard is running last 4 years, I have spread transparent mat cald skin on it and is working uptodate .. [deepak31]
wow your new keyboard should be cool !, transparent. thankx for response deepak31 [lameran]
Hm, my first computer was in 1990, since than I haven't dameget any keyboard... [iduidu]
WaW!, from 1990 - 2007 , its arround 17 years , waks the same age as my little brother. you must be a patient people. thankx for response iduidu [lameran]
Ok tis is something tat has almost become a part of my life. Lol. I have damaged bout 7 keyboards of mine. I'm a person who has little patience for some stuff and wen somethin doesnt happen wen i wan it 2 i get really frustrated. And i have so many problems wit my keyboard not reacting quickly so in anger i start destroying the keys tryin 2 get em 2 work and in the bargain lose the keyboard itself! [anuj_balaji]
i dammaged 3 keyboard, both i droped with them into the walls :-) [pimponel]
I haven't replaced my keyboard eversince I bought my computer. My fingers are not that hard when it comes to typing that's why it is still ok. [faylinn_chaeli]
hmmm maybe it's not about your finger pressing so hard, its about habbit of people who is smash their keyboard when they get mad , just like me. sometimes I can control my self and trying to not smash my keyboard, but sometimes when everything out of control, ughhhhh bang bang boom .. bad habbit. [lameran]
I have damaged almost ten from begining.I have one of samsung. This had stay only a month from begining. It have some problem with keys.I like to know all the keys from it.The other key board have problem as it is normal.I like to use some latest keyboard of logitech. This time i think that some keyboard have problem. The latest keyboard is musical. Also i plan to upgrade it to multimedia next time. [ashumit02]
Ten keyboards is quite an achievement. I have changed my keyboard a few times, but never as a result of any damage. At the rate that you are going it could be cheaper to buy wholesale. [Asylum]
As of now I have damaged any keyboard, Iam using a logictech mulitmedia keyboard for the last two years and it is really rugged and good. I don't really damage one but every two years I will completely upgrade my Desktop Pc to higher version where every thing get changed. [arunk7319]
wow you got a period of time for changing your computer. so what did you do with the old ones ? do you trash it or you sell it? [lameran]
We have damaged too many keyboards to name in our family. Our first one got damaged from rough use, our second my dad spilled Coke on (Then took it outside and sprayed it with water, 'to get the coke out'), My laptops keyboard right now is ruined because my Dog stepped all over it while I had it open on my bed, and my sister threw hers against the wall because she lost on the 15th level of 'Space Invaders'. [Kaorin]
waks, laptops keyboard should be expensive enough, this what I worried using laptop. [lameran]
Several! I was a secretary at a job for over 12 years and kept having keyboard trouble they finally just kept replacing them. However I do not know if it was operator error because at my next job that I worked at for over 5 years I never had a problem! [kimlot]
I think its the keyboard, if it is the operator error, than you should change several keyboard to on your new job. thankx for response kimlot [lameran]
I've had my laptop for nearly a year, and I've broken the keyboard. Two of my keys have stopped working completely. Luckily, it's only the right hand 'shift' key (I can still use the left), and the right hand arrow key. I've broken a regular keyboard, by getting tomato soup in it... [randomosity_prevails]
wiw, than are you changing the keyboard only or are you bought a new laptop for replacing your laptops ? [lameran]
In 5 years i'n never damaged any keyboard ,but i think thet it's time to replace my keyboard soon [Neamtzu89]
yes, because there is many changin in keyboard interface from 5 years a go to now. some newest motherboard even doesn't have a ps2 connector , it push us to bought a new keyboard with USB connector. [lameran]
I haven't damaged any although I will soon have to replace the one I am using as the letters are starting to wear off. This doesn't bother me at all because I can type properly but it makes it difficult for my Children when they are playing on the computer. [XxAngelxX]
than your keyboard is damaged because of too much use. that a wise habbit. thankx for response xxxangelxx [lameran]
Lol i think 2 im not sure lol i believe it was 2 tho [UmmBinyamin]
hehehe 2 is pretty common for us. thank for the response umm [lameran]
Well, my keyboards were ruined, but most of the time it was not me who ruined them, its just that the letters (especially the M, N and E) rubbed off! The last time it happened the blame should have gone to a mosquito that went past just when I had a glass of Baileys in my hand! The keyboard got the sweet liquid on top and that was the end of that computer! [sylvia13]
the end of your computer ? so it short circuit your computer ? . [lameran]
I'm using computer from 13 year ago so I don't member how many but avrage damaged keyboard ((( 60 ---> 80 ))) EGYPTIAN :) [sherifmd]
hmmmmm pretty confuse about the meaning. thankx for response sherifmd [lameran]
no i haven't till now damaged any keyboard..it is my 3rd year keyboard.its logitech keyboard [ManastheMatrix]
logitech seem to be favorite keyboard amang many computer user. I still remember when my 286 computer , there is that brand (logitech) the most great brand that time is GENIUS mouse, it is prety expensive also . I think logitech has succes making a keyboard that comfortable for computer user, and using a pretty acceptable price. [lameran]
I have been working with computers for 20 years or more and have never damaged a keyboard. The keyboard I have now is the longest I have ever kept a keyboard and it is getting some sticky keys but I can open it and clean it so it will be like brand new again. [WebMann]
20 years is long enough, if I were you may be I allready change arround 10 keyboards T__T, slaming smashing ouuuu my poor keyboard, must practise to hold my temper on my keyboard, so I can follow your way to keep keyboard works for 20 years. [lameran]
As I remember , I think I have damaged 3 since my very first computer [livinghell01]
what cause the damage ? is it get spill, short ? or other cause ? [lameran]
well none.. i havent destroyed any yet... [chintan_inc]
hmmmm, thankx for the response chintan inc [lameran]
I've damaged only one keyboard [asim123]
that one keyboard is for how many years ? btw thankx for the response asim123 [lameran]
In my PC, I change trice for a keyboard, since I start to have own PC. But only one keyboard I know is broke, but the other two is just want to change. But for my Internet Cafe, for one year, It's almost Tree times I change keyboard, because the customer so easy to broke the keyboard. [susana25]
yes thats true, a customer usually don't care about the keyboard at the internet cafe, they think they allready paid so they can do everything they need, just like me T___T. Luckyly I never damage the keyboard at the internet cafe. [lameran]
none as of now...guess i will have to try harder !!! [rohitnair13]
wow, you don't need to do that really, better don't broke your keyboard it doesn't have any good at all. [lameran]
I have damaged 2 keyboards. Though they were not totally damaged, only the space bar and the ENTER button. I think its a common practice among the computer users and almost 90% people make a very hard press at these two buttons. LOL.. its funny, isn't it? [muntaha]
yes it is, we are usually always make a hit on enter, sometimes when we mad we hit it hardly, sometimes when we done somethin great we also hit enter hardly, poor enter. yes its rather funny, and the more funny is, do you know some of keyboard were make with enter button larger than the other, is it make large so we can hit it more hardly ? hehehehee joke joke. [lameran]
the keyboard i am using rite now is my third...first i used samsun lasted for 6m onths (piece of crap) then a tvs for 2 yrs(gud one) then microsoft the best(been usin it so hard for 3 yrs no problem) [ram_wolverine]
if you wants to buy a new one the other time you can also try logitech or A4tech, this both also great, expecially the A4tech it is cheap n great. Logitech right now is a little expesive than A4tech since logitech allready wellknown all over the world. [lameran]
I think 6 keyboard i have destroyed. [eshant2002]
wuiw destroyed, how did you destroy it ? [lameran]
I've had my computer for about a year and I'm thinking that I need to buy a new keyboard. The keys are sticking a lot, causing me to slow down and make typos. It's the keyboard that came with the Dell computer; I'll probably just order another one from Dell. I keep it clean and have one of those flexible keyboard skins on it, but it does get a LOT of use. [lauriefnp]
if you want your keyboar keep clean than you can't eat or drink while you typing or near your computer, I think that makes our keyboard dirty. [lameran]
i ahvent changed my keyboard yet but it has gone weird and disfunctional due to my manhandling and sometimes it just gets jammed,i wanna change it but everytime i go to computer shop i think i can still continue with my old one rather than wasting money on a new one [jinxed666]
yes thats true and wise, it is better use your old keyboard if its still ok and comfortable. [lameran]
0, it's always the mouse that usually gives me problems [fiyahcreation]
hmmm, my mouse is stronger than my keyboard, even if I also slam n smash my mouse. [lameran]
That is a good one. How many computers have I damaged is about the same answer. Many many many. The best part is that it's part of the experience. [serge4hair]
yes all is makes we are more expirienced (in damaging computer stuff ? hehehe lol, joke joke) thankx for the response serge4hair [lameran]
This is a good question. I never realized how many keyboards I have messed up! I have completely killed/shorted out two keyboards. Mostly from spilling my drinks on them. I nearly ruined my dell keyboard by spilling sweet tea in it. Luckily, I was able to knock out alot of the mositure. I grabbed my blow dryer and dried it out and we are still using it! That was over two years ago--that was/is a great keyboard! [mnksmommy]
yes that spill is the most cause of short circuit on a keyboard I think. the more dangerous is, the one get short is not only the keyboard but also the motherboard of the computer, if this is happen than, we should bought a new system as replacement. ou yeah I almost forgot it, may be you could buy a keyboard with anti spill option, I think logitech has those . [lameran]
I wear mine out all the time. I am on my comp all the time. I work at home, and I play a lot of games. My kids and my husband use it also. So it just gets worn out. I just bought a new one a few days ago. its a logitech and I love it. The keys are so easy to glide over. [babyblu1998]
you keyboard should work very hard, since it used by your entire family. than bought a new keybaord is a great decision. [lameran]
mine relative owns a hardware shop.... i damaged alot many many and got a lot new... according to me sice last 5 yrs i changed 7 keyboards but damaged 3... one while shifting home... 1 when i droped hot cooffee on it adn 1 when which i broked myself caz i didnt liked that .. [slimshady_tg]
another spill problem, there is a lot of keyboard get damaged because of spill. [lameran]
I didn't damage even a single keyboard upto now but in our college we used to collect the Balls in a normal mouse [lakshmithechemico07]
what for the balls ? is keyboard using ball ? I don't know it. [lameran]
i dont what you mean by this quiestion but i use computer since 1996 and untill now i didnot damage any computer or keyboard maybe i like to format computer too much [maizer99]
hah ? what is the connection between keyboard n formating computer ? if you formating your computer too much it should be affected the harddisk life time , not the keybaord I think. [lameran]
Since the day I took computer , i think it siz years or more and I have never damaged it And I take real care of it. I had never damaged it . It is the first and lsat keyboard. [clickhereforme]
great for you, you can care your keyboard, I will try to pursuit your habbit. thankx for response clihereforme [lameran]
None, the main I would say, I always go for quality product. I have the best of the keyboard's available around, TVT GOLD. It's wonderful to use and is very durable...... :-) [kooldude_rajeev]
ouuu, I never heard that brands before [lameran]
None, the main reason I would say is; I always go for a quality product, I have TVS GOLD, which is the best available around. It's amazing to use, and is very durable..... [kooldude_rajeev]
its 3 years now since i bought my computer but i didn't get any problem with my keyboard till now [mayamber]
good for you mayamber. [lameran]
i have not destroyed any keyboard yet and i hope it shouldn't get any scratches or any harm because i love my keyboard. it's black in color and a product of logitech. its keys are as smooth as feather that one can't take his hands away from it. i love typing through for hours. [buddy9]
I also love my keybard, it is also black in colour. [lameran]
About one keyboard every 6 to 12 months. I'm on my 2nd computer and it's new. Old one lasted around 6 years. Well worth it though, used to have a business that was making me 3,000 to 9,000 pesos a day. [marief2rnurse]
your keyboard allready give you much income I think. [lameran]
i have not destroyed any of my keyboard yet because i love my keyboard very much. i have a black color keyboard which is a product of logitech and its keys are as smooth as feather that one can't take off his hands from it.i love typing for hours on it. [buddy9]
As far as desktops, I've killed two. Well... it wasn't really me. My cousin spilled Water on one. And then, he spilled water on another one... I thought once they dried out they would work again, but they don't... I think I messed up a laptop keyboard, too. A few of the keys just stopped working after a while. [mys7icalguru]
there is many many destroyed keyboard because of spill on keyboard. [lameran]
just one and it was the case of keys dislocation [p0tterific]
ouw, good, only one. [lameran]
This one I am using right now is the first one I have gotten messed up. I spilled coffee on it a couple of weeks ago and now the numbers do not want to work and some of the letters act funny. [indywahm]
another keyboard damaged because spill, this spill is the most cause of keyboard damaged. [lameran]
I`ve damaged 4 keyboards since 4 years.Every year one keyboard wears off......I play a lota games and work as a software professional so I`ve to use the keys more than anyone else.... [deathlord]
I think games that make your keyboard damaged quick, work I think wont takes too much pressure when pressing the keys. [lameran]
None i havent Damage any Till now !! [rahulmig]
great for you rahulmig. [lameran]
I didn't damage any keyboard. It's easier to crash the cpu for me.^^ [saniboy]
hehehehehe, than we should change the topic to how many cpu have you crash ? ... joke [lameran]
I think I am on my 3rd one now. One of the others had an entire soda can spill all over it-completely ruined it. Then the other I am not really sure what happened to it...after several months the keys kept sticking and then all of a sudden a few of the keys wouldn't work at all. The on that didn't work that got me to buy a new one was the backspace key. Everything I wrote had typos in it and it drove me nuts! So yes, now I am on number 3. [princess07031980]
spill is the most cases that damaged a keyboard. we should get a anti spill keyboard to prevent it. it should be my next keyboard (anti spill keyboard) [lameran]
i never punched or kicked my keyboard so its still in shape lolz......Anyway i have a brandless keyboard and i have been using that for 3 years and no problem till now.........one reason why my keyboard is still in good condition is because i click a lot and no typin'' [shredded]
kekekekek, than you should type a lot in mylot ^^, in my lot if you click much than you wont get much ^^ , just joke. [lameran]
i never damaged entire keyboard, my first one has some problems with enter key but i eventually got habituated to using the enter key in numpad, i sold my old comp and now for one year i have a new one with no issues.. yes, i often remove keys while cleaning and re-align them it does takes my enter sunday noon....;) [keeshan]
I'm very2 affraid if removing the keyboard keys , its very2 confure when return the keys to the right place and so boring. [lameran]
I think iam managing with the first one since 6 years.. [Gyan_guru]
good for yo gyan guru, I will trying to more calm to my keyboard so I can makes a new record on using keyboard. [lameran]
It Depend on you how to use Keyboard's. If you use good Quality of Keyboard then you will use many year with one keyboard [pradeep_mogha]
I allready use goodquality keyboard, but the habbit is the problem . [lameran]
I didn't break any heyboards, these think are very tought. [reptile84_2006]
yes keyboard is touhgt, but the smash is more toughter may be , so it is damaged T__T. [lameran]
i am using my same old key board even thoug it is of less price it served me better [karthiksarwan]
great karthiksarwan [lameran]
i am using my same old key board even thoug it is of less price it served me better [karthiksarwan]
if it is comfort for you than you should get it. [lameran]
i have damaged 2 keyboards [drahlawy09]
same as me .. 2 keyboard until today, I don't know tommorow. [lameran]
I damaged one by spilling coke on it, unfortunately it was my work computer. hehehe [Anakata2007]
hehehehe, spill is very2 dangerous. I sometimes spill on my keyboard too, luckyly still worked. [lameran]
i am still using my same old one [karthiksarwan]
good karthiksarwan. [lameran]
im using computer from past 5 years, but i never had keyboard breakage problem!! [abhay10]
great for you abhay10. [lameran]
ive damaged 2 a4 Tech keyboards till now. one of them stopped workin so i opened it and try to repair it but cudnt so threw it away. [bhattee]
wow , I still not damage my a4tech keyboard, I think it still pretty comfortable until now. I never trying to repair a keyboard, since usually the keys is getting dull if we used it pretty long time. [lameran]
I lost only one keyboard so far i was typing and some off the letters started to fall out. [Booboos11]
hmmmm ... i got your point thankx for response booboos [lameran]
I had damaged only one keyboard yet which was of Logitech. I was very use of it and I had reached to a typing speed of about 45 - 50 Words per minute. But when its broken, mine speed reduced tremendously and reached to 30 - 35 words per minute. Now I am using second hand WIPRO's keyboard and its working fine. Have a nice day. Bye [vijayganesh]
I never heard that brand "wipro" on my country, is local brand maybe. have a nice day too. [lameran]
i have faced this prob more than 4 times :P [umair007]
hehehe same as me problem unsolved, still working on damaged keyboard until now. [lameran]
I've used this keyboard for 7 years now and never had a problem. It is a very strong keyboard. Maker is Microsoft. I am surprised that none of the letters have ever rubbed off either. Watch - now for opening my mouth all the buttons will probably pop off. hahaha. [howard96h]
old stuff is better than new product I think, the old stuff usually use more powerfull materials, its make them wore longer than new product. Since new product always get efficiency terms. [lameran]
Aside from dropping food crumbs and maybe a little dust in the keyboard I havent damaged any to the point where they couldnt be used. I dont really see anyway that I could damage a keyboard that bad. [magdollars23]
maybe dust didn't damage the keyboard, only make it looks dirty, thats why I'm using black color keyboard right now ^^!, to cheating the dirty looks keyboard, spilling on it is the most problem that damaged the keyboard. [lameran]
none for my keyboard but my laptop been few years old and not running smoothly i need to fix it but don't know how. [talk2mepls]
laptop keyboard pretty expensive I think, you should be more becarefull with it. [lameran]
i havn't face this problem yet [dhigambaram]
lucky you dhigambaram [lameran]
I'm ok with keyboards but I go through mice very quickly. I've lost count how many! [fabwisp]
hmmmm were upside down. [lameran]
I have had computers for over 15 years from being family shared ones to be my own, but we have never had a keyboard irreparibly damaged. Once my mom spilled coke on the keyboard, but my dad cleaned it and let it dry out and it still worked perfectly. I have also spilt stuff on my keyboard a few times, although never anything sticky like coke and have never had it messed up for more than a few hours. It dried out and then was fine. [kjscrafts]
the main problem is, when the spilled liquid get to the circuit board or the componen inside the keboard, it will defect our keyboard, and the worst case is, it can cause an short circuit and also damaged our motherboard computer. [lameran]
1. I spilled water on it. It never worked right again. [sunlover]
than you should go for another new one. thankx for response sunlover. [lameran]
I don't think I've ever damaged a keyboard, and I personally have had 3 (one on my laptop, one on my computer at home, and an external keyboard that attaches to my laptop in my dorm). Once, though, my dad was trying to clean his keyboard and made the mistake of taking all the keys off at once. He got done cleaning it and couldn't remember where the keys all went. I had to help him get them back on. I still laugh about that. [LadyMagpie]
hehehehehe, I'm laught in here read your story ^^, but that is not damage, you still can use it when you found the the keys sort order ^^, I guess you to lazy to arrange it again till fixed, hehehehee, just guessing , since if I were you I will leave it that way and bought new once, must arrange 101 - 104 small keys uuuugh . [lameran]
Wow, what are you doing with the keyboard to be able to damage them? Normally the keyboard of a personal computer is sturdy and strong enough to withstand the pounding and typing by fingers to the keys of the keyboard. I think you have just been very careless about the use of the keyboard, that's why it was broken. Otherwise, the keyboard are okay in terms of quality and would really be difficult to damage if used properly. [ernst111]
hehehe maybe I'm to harsh with my keybaord, sometimes if I get angger I just smash my keyboard, usually when my internet connection down to very very slow than I'm easyly get anggry (like HULK eh kekekeke), than the one get the effect is keyboard since it right infront of me and it can't revenge me back xixixixixixi, poor my keyboard ^^!. [lameran]
hey my brother( kid) broke my new keyboard by pulling the keyboard wire and it falled and thats it.... after that im not allowing him near the system... [elavarashan]
hehehehe same with my brother kid also, but I allready make a precautions before he (my brothers kid) make fun my peripherals, I warn him not to touch any my computer peripheral so often, heheheheehe. [lameran]
I already throw away 7 keyboard, one keyboard from compact and other 6 are brandless. Several of the keyboard damaged caused by malfunction, it cannot function well, some button have response but some cannot. I just replace them with new keyboard. [myl2006]
You should get a pretty good one since looks like the brandless you bought evertime is too easy to damaged, you may try logitech or a4 tech it is pretty strong for me. [lameran]
wow, I don't think I have ever damaged a keyboard. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? lol. My son has destroyed our computer desk, and I have dropped the keyboard numerous times, but it still works, although after my son spilled his apple juice on it, it sticks in spots. I have a Dell. [wmaharper]
wow, your keybaord is strong, even get the spill still works. lucky you wmaharper. [lameran]
I had two belkins (same model) and i managed to pur coke all inside the circuit on one of them. So i had to buy a new one. That one i dropped out of a window while reorganising my bedroom (i put it on the window ledge thing while moving my desk, unaware that the window was open, and it sort of fell out and smashed into a million pieces). Ah well. I am on my third now XD [CarlJennings]
hmm accident never understood ^^!. thankx for repsonse carljennings [lameran]
Since my first computer arrived to my home. I have not lost any keyboard. Even i have not changed any parts in my computer. [vekyengineer]
ic, thankx vekyengineer. [lameran]
LOL... none... i am still using my 1st one... i am extra carefull with these stuff as my dad would have my hide if i damage them! [nishanity]
hmmmm, thankx nishanity [lameran]
I havent damage any keyboard when I first use the computer. Although it was my first time to touch a keyboard, I never any keyboard I use. [bulutoy2k]
ic, thankx also bulutoy2k [lameran]
I've accidently damamged a keyboard by knocking over a glass of juice on it. To my defesnse, I did open it up right a way to try to get it dried off, but after that, only half of the keys worked, so we jus twent out and got another - no biggie. But that's about it. [mantua]
I see, poor old keyboard :D [lameran]
I havent damaged any keyboard at home but have been through 3-4 at work. At home I have been through 3 monitors :-D [entish2]
weks, you don't damaged keyboard at home but damaged monitor ? that really scarry for me. [lameran]
I've been actively using computers for years now and I don't remember damaging any keyboard, this one I'm typing in right now is what came with the computer which I bought 4 years ago more or less. [ownado]
hmmm quiet calm on using your keyboard. [lameran]
Well I have had two,but my first keyboard is still good but as this one is wire less its much better,I got it about two years ago,but a couple of months bach I dont know what I did,one of my keys just jumped off, luck its one that I dont use.lol [Tynnac]
hehehehe so right now you use Wireless keyboard, It's great thankx tynnac. [lameran]
I have had to replace a keyboard before now because it has become unresponsive, but the term damaged is a little strong. I fail to see how anyone can damage a keyboard, apart from pouring coffee on it or typing with a sledge hammer. [Asylum]
weks typing with sledge hammer, I just typing with my hand, and a little slam on keybaord while I get angry. [lameran]
I think I didn't damage any keyboard since I have used the first computer. [tuyennl]
I see, still pretty new eh your computer. [lameran]
I lost one, keyboard it was the scorpio one that came with my pc, with died long before my pc did. Now im on a labtop. [Mecboy]
mmm laptop keyboard usually more smooth than ordinarry keyboard, but it is also more more expensive, so be calm using it. [lameran]
Luckily I have only broken one. I did it by spilling a soda on it. I was so mad!! I have one now from Labtec and luckily it is serving me well and was cheap!! Now that I have said that it will probably break LOL [maildumpster]
kekekek someday it will actually break also, what you need just trying to maintain it so it could works longer than you think. [lameran]

When it comes to things that i owned,i am very careful on it.I take care all the extra care i can give except when my kids are around that a new story!Lol!I didnt damaged any of my keyboard.Since i have my own computer in the office! [Gwapako_28]
I have a very bad habit of spilling coffee over mine! I've ruined about three and I don't learn, I try to keep drinks away from the keyboard, but I don't keep to it! I'm a fool to myself because it is money wasted by replacing the keyboard when it could be so easily avoided. [wolfie34]
Hmm geez..I think I'm on my 3rd or 4th keyboard in the past 7ish years maybe. The first one never stopped working but I used it so much that all the lettering wore off, which didn't bother me because I don't ever look at the keyboard when I'm typing anyway, but whenever someone else wanted to use my keyboard it bugged the heck out of them. So I got another one and that one had a bunch of keys that were sticking after awhile (it was a cheap one anyway). The one after that had the cord ripped out of it (don't ask lol). The one I have now works just fine but it's a little loud so I'm thinking of getting one that's quieter. [msmonkeyfeet]
I been using computers fro 25 years and I have never broken a keyboard [whiteheather39]
I changed PC twice but Still using the Same Keyboard. Some problems occured in keys but i fixed it by repairing myself. Instead of Keyboard i always change my mouse. It is about6 or 7 times. [tinkutr]
Hmm, nowadays, keyboards are sometimes needs a lot of attention because as i speak for it... this device is the most commonly used when using a computer. But think of it, how come the keyboard to most of them is rarely been damaged? Not like the other parts such as the mouse which is ususally been replaced by too much abuse. Well as for my keyboads, I have 5 replaced keyboards now. Three of them are brandless and two of them are branded. but one keyboard's problem is the spacebar, as same to yours, but the other four, nah... i just feel to buy better ones. so the remaining 3 are still working. Maybe perhaps it depends on the one who uses the computer often and how they use the keyboard... either soft touch or bangbang touch. :)) [Modelcoy]
Till now I haven't come across yet.. [nirmalareddy]
well, i haven't really destroyed any keyboards, but the keyboard from my old laptop has all the arrow keys and all the gaming keys worn out i.e. you can't see what they are any more. but then, there was this one time that i sucked a key up the vacum cleaner, and it was one of those central vacum system ones, so i had to go through a lot of rubbish for about an hour to find it! :-P [idreams]
I have never damaged any keyboard as of now but I have changed so many times because the letters are fading out and I can't type efficiently anymore. [katan22]
Well i broke one keyboard. I broke the cord thought not the keyboard itself. [XxMissxMimixX]
we damaged just one. the one that came with the first computer our dad bought for us. wait, i dont really know if it was damaged or my brother just decided to change keyboards for some other one that has other good features. [00fear]
lol, I never damaged keyboard but I broken my father laptop when first time I learn to use computer at 9 years old ha ha. [istanto]
I think about 4 to 6 keyboard have been damage. The last one was a complete mystery. I was cleaning the keys when I decided to remove them from their place, clean them up and when put them back on, it won't work anymore. I check everything from cable to the connector, and still it won't work. So I just brought a new cheap one instead. [omega007]
lol I haven't damaged any keyboard ..................... [sahar88]
Well i have never damaged keyboard since using computer yea ... i think unless you bang on it , it wont really spoil yea lol [Sir_bobby88]
I'm sorry to say that I have never damaged any Keyboard but today's Keyboards are designed in such a way that you can hardly operate them after one and a half year. So, I have many mal-functioning keyboards in my stores, atleast eight to ten. I just can't type with a stiff keyboard. So, I have to change them frequently. [nilzerous1]
i had gone through two keyboards since I had my computer they stuffup as they get old though !! [traceyleeappel]
I never spoiled a keyboard but I changed in order to get a new keyboard. The old one is just old for me. [seenkung]
I've only had 3 keyboards since I got my first computer in 1997. [cikedo]
This is my first computer and i have not damaged any keyboard till now as i m a responsible person and i do like to keep things in my control and know how to keep them working [onlineravi]
I've never damaged or ruined a keyboard. I'm surprised that I haven't, though, as I tend to type hard when I get upset and/or excited and drop things on it a lot. The reason is probably because whenever I get a new computer, which is fairly often, I get a new keyboard, so I don't have the time to break them! [talisman]
I bought my first computer last three years before but since I am not too over-type user (I am always use my mouse), I don't have any damaged keyboard yet. It might because I care so much with my things. And yes, I have my new wireless keyboard as of now since I've upgraded my whole system. I let my sister own my first computer unit and all of it works perfectly. [UniqueCode]
to tell you the truth i havent damage my keyboard since i bought it..i think i handle my things easy that it was not damaged at all..i want to take good care of my things..so that it will last long.. [mkeanel01]

[thyaga03]
i owned a computer B4 7-8yrs back and am using it until now but i did'nt damage any keyboard or change anyone since i very first computer [nanduananda]
None of the keyboards got damaged due to proper usage. 2 keyboards had to be replaced, because it drank coffee. 1 keyboard had to replaced because someone dropped heavy stuff on the board. The replacement cost is very less here. A new logitech keyboard coasts $5 [ssh123]
In the 6 years that I have had a computer I have had to replace my keyboard once. It wasn't completely useless when I replaced it but the red wine that was spilt on it did make a number of the keys hard to press. They aren't that expensive anyway so I decided to replace it. [shaz6611]
this is just my 3rd keyboard.. haha i type fast & often use the pc.. [shangsyndrome]
i havent damaged anything till now ........but i "ve replaced my fdirst one logitech with the pleomax [kernel]

i've had my computer for 4 years. The keyboard for went through having nail polish spilled on it, to food drink spilled on it. I've gone through three keyboards since. I'm terrible at keeping them clean. [katisaurus]
Um, none. I had no idea that you COULD damage a keyboard or that it was a widespread problem. [shiningfae]

I never damaged any keybord for post 7 years [karthikonlinestar]
i got the new zboard and i've had to replace it 3 times so far due to it sucking and physical damages for siblins.before that i would say 2 or 3 times justbecause those were old out dated keyboards and we got new one with every computer we've ever gotten. i'm 17 and so far our family has had 3 computers. I have the same keyboard that I've had from the last six years. Although I've changed computers, I've still favored my old keyboards keys. I have the new keyboard from the new computer still sitting around gathering dust in my closet. [COLLIS2]
hmm..i've spoilt three keyboards till now...the fact is keyboard are prone to damage...especially by gamers like us. the thing is that even if one or two keys are spoilt,u find it more convinient to replace the keyboard then stick with the spoilt one... [dhiren_369]
