I am just wondering if some of us here do rent on internet shops/cafes just because they don't have internet access on their home, or don't really own a computer.
by the way, I have my own computer here with an internet access also!;)

LoL That's correct, many hackers are victimizing innocent internet users. The very best way to protect our own account is to avoid using it on public internet cafes, as pervention is better than cure!;) [raijin]

I have my own computer and it is 3 years old and I can say my best buddy lol!! I have wireless connection but I'm looking forward to a laptop anytime soon I think it is much easier to work in a laptop compare to a desktop. Thanks for asking raijin. [maribel1218]

i only rent when im not at home or when im on my friends house or at the mall but i make it a sure that when im using public computers i dont open any sites that may compromise my personal information. but most of the time i access internet at home we also have an internet connection just recently we added two computers for my sister and nephews... and now we are having a problem how to connect the hub it seems we have made some mistakes and the internet didnt work prperly with the other two. hopw we got it right by tomorrow. From the correspondance i recieve at times even unasked for, i think internet cafe's are the main source in the Phillipines, That is based purely on my personal experiance as when i am in Yahoo, somehows i get lots of request to view webcams that opriginate from cafe's.I have my own internet connection and computer, if i did not i probally could not be bothered spending the time on this or any other site. I'm at home on my own computer. I have never actually been in an internet cafe. I have seen them but never had a need to use them. We also have internet access at our public library and at the college there is a computer lab that can be used by residents of our town. I have used the computer at the library before, but only because I was there and wanted to get some more information. [mari61960]

We do not even have the internet cafes in our town, I have never been on one. the only outside access we have here is the library, but they have someone who stands over you while you are online. i have a computer with an unlimited internet access at home so i have all the time in the world to surf the net. unfortunately, im not able to do so coz i have tons of work at the office that i couldn't manage to finish within the 8 hrs office time, so even if i don't like it, i need to bring home my work, which eventually hamper my internet browsing. yes you are true,many of the users dont have the computers owned,and some have but with no internet access on their homes.they pay for the internet at the cafes,i owned the computer and also an access to the internet at my home.. [musaib]

I have my own computer in the comfort of my own home. I like having a computer in my home as it is so much more convenient to access the Internet anytime that I'd like or even need to do so. It's convenient to look up new recipes, pay bills, keep in touch with the people whom I love, etc. I have gone to an internet cafe though before. It was because my computer had a virus & needed to be cleaned.. And I had to wait for a few days for my computer cleaned & I wanted to check my emails & keep in contact with the people whom I am close to. So I actually went to an internet cafe & used the Internet for a few hours. I liked using this service even though I had to pay.. But I wasn't on it for a long period of time so I didn't have to pay all to much. The only thing I disliked about using an internet cafe to access a computer is I don't feel you get as much privacy compared to when you have a computer in your own home. I felt sometimes when using an internet cafe that I had someone looking over my shoulder all of the time. I liked using my computer in my own home because I felt I had more privacy. And didn't have to worry about being charged right after I was off of the computer & finished using it. I hope I don't ever have to go through that again.. Where I have to turn to going to an internet cafe or a library to get access to the Internet. I remember how much of an inconvenience it was for me having to do this. I am glad that I have my own personal computer in my own home as I find I have more privacy then.. I don't know how some people can handle dishing out money to use the internet at these internet cafe's as often as they do.. But I guess sometimes you just can't afford your own computer.. So it is better than nothing I suppose. I know I would probably turn to using one as well if it came down to that.. Sometimes if it's all you can afford that's what you have to do whether you like it or not. In conclusion.. I feel very blessed that I have access to the internet in the comfort of my own home. I would much rather have my own computer instead of having to go & pay for access to the internet that's for sure.. But sometimes you don't always have that luxury in life. All I can say is I feel truly blessed that I was able to afford my own computer on my own! . . Thanks for allowing me to share! xx [babyhar]
Computer and internet access at home is indeed a very convinient thing to have. But most people don't have the priviledge of this, because some of them cannot afford to have one and are trying to their to feel more comfortable in accessing it through public internet cafes. Others are students, who are doing researches for their school projects and thesis. Some are just to enjoy it and be more updated eventhough they don't have one at home, I think they are also lucky because they are trying their best to be aware of computers. Yes, we are lucky and priviledged to have one of our own and that it's really a great help for us in dealing against time and paying for bills!;) [raijin]
Well i do have my own computer at home and also in the office. BOth of them also have internet connection but lately my modem back home was ruined. So i just surf the net here in the office and it is okay. I have access in the internet 8 hours a day so i dont need to use the net at our home [jhacky016]

I have a computer at home. Its easier for me to get on the net to look something up then to call anyone for informatin I can stay connected with family members and friends so thats a plus [drillerswife]

I have a brand new desktop right now. Exactly 1 week old. I decided to change my old computer. I have a internet connection at home. Unfortunately it is only a dial-up connection. I think it's fine compared on the times that I have to rent a pc in an internet cafe. [klystron635]

hi there Raijin! about computers; well, we had a computer ever since i stepped up to third grade, only used to play around w/ AfterDark Screensavers back then and a few DOS games (pretty lame eh? LOL).. When i was a kid, Internet was nothing but a word; i never saw it until i entered junior high. i used to come to my mom's office (since that's the only place where i can connect to the internet), there they had computers all linked to the world through individual dial-up connections and that was the first time i had a glimpse of the information superhighway. i was amazed about how i could type anything i searched for and got tons of information about it. i got fond of learning about and using the internet. as my enthusiasm for possiblities grew each passing day, i found the courage to try and pay for internet access which were only available mostly through internet cafes. i started downloading stuff, chatting w/ people, reading about stuff, until the time that my mom decided to have a regular phone line at home which even up to this very moment - i use to connect to the net; too bad, it's just a dial-up connection, but i thought it suffices to my needs since i'm not fond of playing online games w/c bydway requires a fast broadband connection instead i find it quite enough to post here in mylot. I have two computers I also have internet service in my home. One computer my husband brought me a couple of years ago. The other one I had a gateway computer that kept messing up so I traded the gateway for the other one I have it is a pentium and works better then the other computer my husband brought me a couple of years ago. a family friend bought a netbook about four months ago. after slightly using it, she approach me and told me that she wants it pawned and told her that i can lend her the money she needs. after a month, she came back and told me that she is going to sell it for the price lower than the original price. i told her, let me get it but i will just pay her on paydays. so, that is it. i have now my own netbook, a computer. a month ago, i applied for a broadband connection. i got it after 5 days. what is nice with my broadband is, the modem is a usb modem that i can use anywhere. and the best of it, it is an unlimited to use, no limit whenever i want it, no limit in number of hours to use. so my answer to your question is, YES.
