I was sitting in my dimly lit living room last night, working on my computer, when a fly, attracted to the glow of my laptop's screen, flew right infront of my eyes. I instinctively CLICKED ON IT! LOL It kept flying around in circles, and I kept moving my mouse around, trying to click the damn thing away. LOL Finally I realized what it was, and blew on it. That got rid of it.
Have I been sitting infront of my computer for too long? LOL Anyone else ever tried to click something away from their computer, not realizing right away, that it was outside of the screen?
My husband says I'm not alone, that he's done this too. LOL

No I haven't had a problem like this, when I spend too much time infront of my computer, I get really sleepy, and then i just finish answering my discussions, and then I turn off my computer, and go to bed because, my eyes won't stay open long enough, for me to answer anymore discussions.sleepsleepsleep [notlistening2]
lollol Havent experience that. But, I experienced deleting a period. Turned to be a speck of dust.rasp [WATARIKENJI]
LOL maybe you have been spending too much time online. You should take a walk outside if the weather permits it. It always seems to clear my mind and my eyes. It's really lush and green where i live. [satan88]
that's funny. lol. i am certain that i have been spending too much time infront of my computer but i haven't experienced something like that. lol. [alatecablebill]
Totally! Imagining things at its best there, LOL.. I see those small particles on the PC too; when I'm doing work, when in the lot, and I will also tend to click it. Even the PC gets flurry, ha.. it shows how too engrossed we are in front of the PC indeed. I'm trying to get the keyboard brush or something so that I could brush off all the particles.. [zed_k4]
I have done that as well. I think it all gets to us eventually. [GardenGerty]
HAHAHA That literally made me laugh out loud. I can only imagine ... I've never done anything like that but I have used the television remote to try to turn down the sound on the computer...or vice versa, hit the volume button on the computer to turn up or down the television. I've also tried to make the picture on the television clearer by using the volume buttons on the remote. [crimsonladybug]
That's really funny. lol It reminds me of a joke about a couple who were having a bad relationship because the guy was spending too much time in front of his computer. The couple met to work things out. While they were talking, the reached out for the hand of his girlfriend and clicked on her hand. lol [angelajoy]
Woops, typo error. I meant to say that the guy reached out for his girlfriend's hand and clicked on it. [angelajoy]
I haven't had that problem but I have been on the computer that much that I have dreamt weird things about my computer after spending too many hours on it so I guess that's another sign of being on it too long lol [moonchild1au]
Lol, that's a good one:P I don't think I've ever experience something like that but I guess it's a sign you should go out to park or something like that. Or read a book:P Too much computer and you'll start see things in 2D:P [Pompon]
hi danishcanadian, lol lol lol that has not happened to me yet. Only almost falling asleep in front of the computer cause I got so super tired. have a great Sunday and hope you enjoy your favorite radio program this afternoon. [book1962]
lol i just don't get your point, how can you click on the fly with your mouse? Well ok probably you were too concentrated in your work, fully devoted to mylot, thats really good lol I have no such experiece though Thanks for this nice post.happy keep sharing, happy posting, cheersrasp ARUN [arun2009]
LOL. That is funny. I have never done anything like that before and I spend alot of hours on my computer also. That sounds like something I would try to do if I did not want to get up and get it LOL. [stephcjh]
lol Nope, I've never done that but, I don't spend a lot of time on the computer at one time. [ZephyrSun]
Lol....i suddenly got confused there. Thought your talking about a pop up window that appears but now i realized what you mean .....hehehe well i didn't realized that right away. I have to read it over again...lol. Anyway so far i haven't tried it yet. [cheenlly]
LOL!! now that is so funny!!you poor thing... you so need to stop what you were doing and go to bed! i haven't done that, but i can so see myself doing that for sure. damn flies [34momma]
Hello happy Well this is a first for me, lamoooo too funny shocked just when I thought I heard them all, I have dreams about things I do on the computer never had anything like this happen lol guess we all have some crazy story when it comes to the computers I love it lol if your hubby has done this before guess it is more common then I thought. My dreams seem to make people think hmmm, yeah o.k you have issues, wonder which is worse lol what do you think? I have been here a month and already had dreams about mylot I jumped up saying happy mylotting the silly thing about this is I never use the term happy mylotting.I got a kick out of it myself, anything that makes us do silly things is more funny then anything. I am sure you got a good laugh out o that. [kitty42]
wow that is really funny for you to think that it was something on the net program rather than it is something outside your monitor. i thought it was really funny experience. you were really too much concentrated on what you were doing that nothing seemed to distract not even a pesky fly. It is good to know that you have fun doing things you are doing online. i too love to be that active online but does not have the motivation for some weeks now. [hotsummer]
yaa...i have spending much more time infront of my computr.. via online chatting, searching about hacking, some type of good software, social networking website like orkut, Myspace, Facebook etc. It's awesome to spending time infront of system. And getting some knowledge. [anurag3786]
i use alot of my pc but still i m safe in this way as u ve told that u have started clicking other things too ya one thing i wud share is that many time i compare other things with the computer [1anurag1]
haha.. that's funny.w00t although I haven't had any similar experience yet. MAybe it's because I always have the light on even when I'm just using the computer. It makes my eyes tire much more easily when the lights are turned off. [amoyube1980]
haha no.. i can't say as i've ever done that.. but i could see it happening to some!! We live in a highrise type building at the moment, so not many bugs up here thank god. i hate bugs! [Sissygrl]
Haha! That's really funny. I don't know if I had done something like that or at least had been on my laptop for a long time but I do spend a lot of time online. These last couple of days I notice my eyes getting bad because I stare too long in my monitor on a dimly lit room. I don't want to wear glasses so I have to take good care of my eyes and probably eat lots and lots of carrots. [Jemina]
Oh my, ha ha, that's a really funny experience. Really wacky and crazy. I haven't gone through something like that before, much more heard of anything like that ever. Probably it's because you've had the lights dimmed that it had an effect on your perception of depth and dimension that it looked like the fly was part of your screen. Or maybe you're right, you've spent quite some time in front of the computer. [forptc]
Hahaha I haven't done that yet... Maybe I haven't spend that much time yet infront of the computer. [d_red_madelaine]
Well, that's one very very interesting experience you had! When I sit at my computer and it's all dark I noticed little flies being attracted by the light of my monitor and it is funny! I try and intimidate them with my mouse but they seem quite stubborn! Anyway, your experience could relate to tiredness or something similar, I'm sure that it's nothing too serious though! Andrew [AndrewFreyne]
Hmmm...I thihk that you might've invented a new web savvy form of flyspray. I reckon that if it was marketed right, it could be a huge online hit. [DiamondDogs]
That is really funny!! I scratched my screen by accident then the next day when i went on my computer, i kept clicking on the line on the screen, but it just would not go away. then about ten minutes later i turned my computer off and then on again and it was still there!! I came to my computer later on and the sun was shining on the screen, so then i instantly knew that it was the scratch from the other day, i then felt really embarrassed Thanks for listening... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi everyone, are you looking for ways to make quick money online? That's funny! I am obsessed with my computer though. It is a terrible addiction. I treat it as though it is a fountain of eternal knowledge. [crystaltips]
Hahaha! Honestly, this is the first time I heard about this, I will only notice that I've spent too much time infront of my PC if it's already time for breakfast! [Tantrums]
lol Well I never heard of a mouse chasing a fly before. No I've never done anything like that, but I do get little black floaters in front of my eyes and am constantly "shooing" them away. I'm sure some people think I'm crazy. [thebeaddoodler]
That's funny! I haven't tried clicking on something like a fly but I have talked like I was still online...using the ole lol, lmao....ttyl....sometimes I am on too long and start to doze off and know it's time to get off of here...I used to get on IM a lot and would doze off in the middle of conversations.... I was addicted to the computer/internet. Now I know I can go without it and try to time myself, setting an alarm if I have to every now and then. [mzz663]
I haven't done that yet. I have fell asleep though before while I was online and woke up later and though. Oh wow I better get off line and go to bed. I have been online to long today and I better go to sleep. I usally log off earlier then I use to when I first started using a computer. [Shaun72]
You've been sitting in front of your computer too long!! LOL [idowrite72]
That is really a good one about the fly. This has never happened to me and I make sure I have good time outs from the computer because my eyes already have problems. Don't need anymore lol. [AKMEDIA2]
How funny! I don't think I've ever done that, but I did accidentally click on things before when I was tired. Only difference is, they were inside the computer screen! LOL Happy mylotting! [sacmom]
Hey, Yea that is quite funny, yea I think that this has happened to me quite a few times. But it wasn't a fly in my case, it was a mosquito, but they are basically the same thing. Yes I think it is a sign that you need a break. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!! [EliteUser]
There used to be this ad for an exterminator and it would have a roach crawl across your screen, it was nasty. I would always click on the ad just to get it off my screen. [gitfiddleplayer]
LOL I've done that before too. I know I'm really been infront of the computer too long when i start seeing smudges all over the screen when they arent there. [saundyl]
