I know some of the games available on the computer are also available on the big game consoles like Xbox and Playstation and all that. But what games do you just love to play on your computer? Give us a top 5 or, if you can't narrow it down that much, give us a top 10. Doesn't matter if it's an old game that no one's ever heard of -- what are your favorites?
10 - Haven't played it in years, but I have to put Oregon Trail on my list. It's one of the first computer games I ever played and I loved it so much.
9 - Where in the World is Carmen San Diego. Another one like Oregon Trail -- among the first computer games I ever played and it was so much fun. Educational to a degree, too.
8 - Dream Chronicles. I've played 2 of the 3 versions of this (or are there 4 now?), and really enjoyed them.
7 - Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate. It's a hidden object game with some really interesting and challenging puzzles between the levels. A lot of fun to play and a nice challenge.
6 - Age of Mythology: The Titans. It was fun, but it just wasn't a very long game. I beat it in no time. After playing the first Age of Mythology, it was rather disappointing as far as the length of time the game took.
5 - Zoo Tycoon. I prefer the one with the Marine and Dinosaur park expansions, so I can also create Dinosaur themed zoos or my own version of Sea World if I want to. It's fun and challenging. But not so challenging that my son doesn't enjoy it as well (of course, he tends to fill a pen with elephants, giraffes and zebras... then add a lion and watch it wipe out everything else).
4 - Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst. I do love hidden object games. Such a fun challenge for the mind and the eyes. This one also had some really interesting puzzles to solve.
3 - Shivers. It's along the lines of Myst and Riven, lots of things to figure out lots of puzzles to solve and an interesting story.
2 - Age of Mythology. Something about building villages and taking them through the ages and waging battle with medusas, centaurs and minotaurs in my army is highly appealing. I've had to replace my copy a few times because my son keeps losing it, fortunately you can get it for about $10 at walmart these days.
1 - Knights of the Old Republic. I just started playing it about a month ago but oh my god is it awesome! As soon as I finished the game, I created a new character and started all over again.

My favorite game was FlyFF, until they upgraded from version 7 to version 9. (Yes, they jumped stright from 7 to 9 lol) Currently I'm on a break from that game because my account got hacked and I can't get response from the Game Masters. Other then that I really like Perfect World, and I started playing it because some of my FlyFF friends moved there. I also used to play Holic with my ex boyfriend, but got bored really quick. Hmm... I have Sims, Sims 2 and Sims 3, but these get boring if you play them too often. My favourites are rollercoaster tycoon 3, and creatures 2. And I play Neopets online with my daughter, I play the Neopian stockmarket on there and she plays the little games to make Neopoints for me to invest lol [caragh2608]

I do play online games. My husband and grandsons are big time online game players. As for myself I play games that require a little mind.LOL Years ago my favorite games was Space Invaders,Centepede, and of course Mario. My all time favorite is sims. I also like heroes and rollercoaster. Those are probably also the only ones I have ever played. UNLESS online games count. Then I have played A LOT. Yes, today we've got 3D games and touch-based games, online games and everything else. Somehow though, I found myself enjoying games no more than I did when they were all in 2D. Granted, some games are incredible and only possible thanks to faster CPU, GPU and networking technology. Large scale 3D MMOs for example, wouldn't be possible with slow 14.4 kbps dial-up connections of the past. I'm actually a huge boy when it comes to computer games. I started out (like many, I'm sure) playing The Sims. Not to say that this is a boring game at all, just not for me. Lately, I've been playing Starcraft and Diablo. Definitely a couple of my favourites! [krodrigues]

I play most of my games in my consoles so my pc game library is pretty small. My favorite game is the original Sims. It's still fun, despite being too simple compared to Sims 2. I played Sims 2, and I think it's great, if I ignored its lagginess. That said, I don't think I'll be toughing the Sims3 anytime soon. Well, I have played a lot of games on the computer, however, most were free to play games which will get boring very soon. But they were good. Here is my top 10 10]BattleOn, or Adventure Quest online. This game is a 2D turn based browser based mmorpg with bad gameplay and boring stuff. Looking back at it, I don't like it now, but at that time, when I was only grade 5-6, I loved it, it was a great game to play at that time. Fun and I got to lvl 76, quite high, but never played since. 9]Pokemon Crater, also 2D turn based probably text based game. Move by clicking, loads, and then you moved. It is a browser based game. It was fun because of the pokemons, I had at least 7 pokemons of level 80 or higher. It was really fun and addicting. Again, I played this during 5th-6th grade. It was fun then, not now. 8]Drift City, a fun, 3D driving mmo game. This game is based on the ability to drift easily. It is fun and has a lot of cars. I go on it occasionally. I'm still level 32 or something, very slow leveling. 7]BattleForge, free to play mmorts, strategy game with a twist. You use cards as monsters, buildings and spells. Fun game, only uses 2 resources. Great graphics and very addicting. However, there are only 19 missions and limited cards for free to play users. 6]Soldier Front, free 3D mmofps, Shooting game with a lot of guns and monthly updates. This game is really exciting and fun, there are hackers but Gm deals with them. You can upgrade and buy better weapons by buying Gcoins. You can buy skills, tricks, training, and what you wear to make yourself look cool and increase attributes. This game requires teamwork and is very fun. However, the game has too many hackers and people who suck at it so you lose a lot. But it's a very fun game with single missions and events 4]Sword of the New World, free 3D mmorpg, stunning graphics and a new twist to these games, you can control up to 3 characters at the same time, fun, and this game will keep you alert. Because if you're not, well, you will die a lot. I recommend this game, very fun. 3]Heroes of Annihilated Empires, I bought this game for $10 US and played it for 2 years. It was really fun. This strategy game contains both army building and character rendering and lvling. I managed to beat the whole game. It was really good. Especially the skirmishes, where both sides have huge numbers and takes hours to beat. I truly think that this game is worth buying 2] Silkroad Online, the first online downloadable game I ever played. The best of all. The skills system is great, job system is great, quests are fun and the whole game is just great. It has great music and the moves are nice but not too exaggerated. I played this for nearly 3 years and have 6 character who are at least lvl 20 and have a combined total of 10 million gold in the game. The highest lvl was 40, but that character was deleted after I didn't use him for a long time...pity 1] Command and conquer 3 Tiberium Wars/ Kane's Wrath. The normal game is already great, with 3 factions, I love the GDI and Scrin. Both are great, Nod are nice too. Graphics are stunning. This game will keep you on the edge of your seat for the whole time. The expansion game is even better, it has 9 factions. My favourite tactic is to save money, and then just unleash a whole army of the cheapest and quickers to produce unit from scrin. I have around 6 'barracks' and just kept clicking. The opponent will be overcome in a short period of time, then I will use my super unit to finish him/her off. This game is really REALLY worth trying [brianwade]

My favorite computer game has to be halo 1 and halo 2, just because the simple fact is i use to play it on xbox, ( X BOX LIVE ) against alot of others, and i also love shooting games. and that is one of my favorite shooting games, just because you can glitch, get ranks, get posted on a site and see who is better or who isn't better then you.you can play alot of differnt options to Sniping,Swat,Rumble,and a couple others, or you can just make a private room where u and ur buddies can go in and find out differnt glitches on how to get out the map. thats been my number one game since it has came out. I was ranked 10 highest you can be ranked, even had my own team on there TSB the sniper boys, cause i was best at sniping. Its a good game. My other favorite is Call of duty not so much like halo but similiar its still shooting and you get ranked and u play against others, i aint as good in call of duty as i was halo.
