The background picture on our computer is a picture of our girls playing in the leaves. Every so often I change the picture to another picture of them that is updated. With in a week or so I'll be changing it to a picture of the two of them holding their brand new baby brother :) [ravinskye]

Well, Coolgeth, they have this awesome new movie coming out in December, The Golden Compass, and I visited their site and downloaded a very nice wallpaper. It is the figure of a man in this big car that is so cool. It looks sort of like the big cars did back in the Hollywood heydays. [worldwise1]
Oh after my computer was broken down, I didn't bother to download one after it's been fixed. Until yesterday, I got too bored staring at the blue background, I decided to find a nice wallpaper online. Because I was listening to Avril Lavigne at the moment, I wanted one of hers recent photo. I picked the one which she was on the cover of a magazine. She was in a black lather jacket, red nails and smoking a cigar. I think that's really my style, so I have that up for now. [wondericequeen]

I just have the Dell chip one that came with it, dull I guess. I just never bothered to change it since I don't look at it that much; I'm always online and the pages cover it anyway. If I did change it, I would probably put either a big infinity symbol or a photo I had taken. But I have so many icons on it that a lot of the photo would be covered anyway. [stealthy]

I used to have that picture on mine. Now I have a lovely blue background with a sort of blended swish going across it. The reason i changed it was ,the icons for ome programmes didn;t show up and blue is the colour they show against best. On linux I have Tux the linux penguin. [mihimolly]

I usually keep on changing my wallpapers and use something that is simple and alluring. My wallpaper is black with leaves in white, but they look sort of transparent. It's one of the default wallpapers that Windows Vista brings, I usually hate the defaults and put my own photos on there but I just loved this one and haven't changed it since I got my laptop. I also have the weather up at the top right, a slideshow of photos under that, RSS feeds under that and a little notepad so when I'm taking numbers or have to remind myself of something. hi i change my background on the computer several times a year,,,right now, i have a sail boat out on the ocean heading towards an island. it is beautiful. in the fall, i change from that picture to a landscape of a driveway or walkway covered with beautiful trees that the leaves are turning on. i also have some planets that i sometimes display as well. and i also have an eye of a hurricane that looks awesome also. Oh I'm so giddy that I came across this discussion! Very recently I came across a picture I took of my 4 year old little sister. I edited it in psp7 and corrected her skin/coloring etc along with designing a background. This is now my walpaper on my comp. I have a picture of my wife and I as the background desktop. The picture was taken 2 years ago at a Christmas party given by the pathologist my wife and I work with. She is nicely dressed up, while I dressed in the "theme" of dress that the pathologist wanted attendees to dress like.
