So, what's on your computer desk right now? Does your family pile all their personal junk onto your desk and expect you to work around it? What do you do when family members/kids put their stuff up on your desk? Do you make them take it away or just work around the added junk?
Right now, there is an empty can of Planters mixed nuts; Dewalt tool box (empty, one empty glass, three stuffed animals and my daughter's collection of educational CD-Roms. It doesn't look much like a work desk, considering all the junk on my desk right now. And, just for the record, I did not put any of that junk on there. Well, maybe one thing.
This morning my spouse added the tool chest and can of peanuts. And, last night, my daughter added her stuffed dolls and CD-Roms. I might have added the glass to the desk awhile ago, but then again, it could have been someone else.
So, how does your computer desk or computer area look right now? And, this applies, even if your computer is on the kitchen table. So, feel free to share!

I have a very small, convenient, and round table for a computer desk. The computer itself stays in the floor. So right now besides the computer screen, keyboard, and mouse, I have a black pen sitting there, along with a 2007 box calendar. It's theme is Wild Words from Wild Women. My computer desk is a mess right now! It's big, so most of the stuff isn't really in my way, it's just there. :) Besides my computer and printer, the laptop is sitting here, too. It's turned off, though, just sitting to the side. Also there is a big pile of printer paper, and another pile of color sheets my son has been doing when he's down here, along with his crayons. My checkbook is sitting right next to monitor, along with a couple of receipts that we need to keep, and our book that we use to pay our water bill. Those things are always here, though. There is also a pencil holder full of pens and pencils, and a few pencils and pens that aren't in there for some reason. The remote control to the TV and the DVR are both sitting on the desk right now, right next to my son's puffs that he has for snacks when he is downstairs and hungry. The only other thing on my desk is a glass that is half full of ice water. I drink lots of water, so there is usually a glass of it down here anytime I'm working online. [carlaabt]
Hello beautyqueen26, I don't have any unnecessary stuff on my computer table right now. I just get it cleaned few days before *smiles* It has normal usual stuff like a AIO printer, an empty in/out trays, a table calendar, some empty CDs, my stationery and a table clock. By the way, I only use the desktop for chatting, mylotting and checking my e-mail most of the time *smiles* [gr8life]
Hmm... On my computer desk right now is my spiral notebook that I use to write my articles with at night, a pink cup of water, a pair of knitted slippers, a purple lamp, a clear thinggy with tacks and pens and such, a pink and clear thing of paper clips, a clear box with chocolate in it, pink disks, photo storage boxes that I use for office supplies, a document organizer for all of my tax stuff and a rack with folders. Oh and some free samples I got in the mail and a pink and clear tape dispenser and some pink post-it notes. On the bottom shelf is the printer and my tissues. It's pretty cramped over here, lol. (Sigh) Tell me about it. Every morning, I find my sister's school papers, a dinner plate and glass, bits of pencil shavings, sometime even grains of rice and pieces of chicken bone every where. I long for the day when I can afford to buy a brand new one and not have to share this old thing with her. Sometimes, I think, for revenge, I should throw a moundful of spaghetti on the keyboard right before she's set to use it. Now, if only I had the courage. Hello beautyqueen26, I just finish cleaning my computer desk at home yesterday so now its still is organized except for some papers file up underneath my keyboard. I have 3 decked computer table, I put all my stuff like cd's in boxes, pocketbooks, pens, notepads and other small things on the 2nd deck. So generally it's always my keyboards deck that becomes messy through time as I add papers, glass, etc.. I think that's about it. Take care! [eprado]

Well what I have on my table or computer desk is a glass paperweight, a mirror, coffee mug. Don't forget a calculator for computing. A flat monitor computer, huge telephone, that I'm still trying to learn. A Wireless optical mouse and a corded keyboard. Hmmm what else lots of pens, rubber bands, stapler, tape dispenser. My computer/laptop table is actually my dining table LOL It has my sons laptop on the other side, todays mail, yesterdays mail and the day before too LOL and my calendar. wow and i thought that my computer desk was a mess. LOL . i used to use the kitchen table as a desk, but thank god i no longer do! I went from a huge table to where lots could be accumalted to a tiny desk in hopes that less stuff would be placed there... errrr>>WRONG!! Two checkbooks, a phone, several empty soda bottles, paperclips, the camera, a bunch of pens, a ton of notes and bills. To top it all off several textbooks, and a pile of homework (some of it mine, some of it the wive's). Of course, there is also the scanner/printer. At the moment my computer des is covered with a lot of junk with just a little space to allow me to use my mouse. Mostly it has magazines, tools and CDs on it. A bowl of marbles.(Every place I've lived-we keep finding marbles on the property. I'm sure there's a metaphor there somewhere.) Below those-thesauruses and books about the writing craft. My computer desk is a bit of a mess as well, but mostly with scraps of paper. My boyfriend and I tend to take notes, or make little notes to ourselves while working at the computer. These notes usually just end up scattered all around the monitor. Other things on the desk are just the usual computer desk things like speakers, a lamp, a jar of pens, and a digital camera. I have here my laptop together with an optical mouse (I don't usually use the touchpad because it annoys me). On my left side is my cellphone, a pink ballpen, a big blue notebook, a small blue notebooks, and some yellow post-it. On my left side again, I also have here my headset (it's not on my head right now), some small stuff toys that I collect (a small cow, a small dog, etc.).
