i'm really happy this time coz my bf ask me if i need a computer..and my answer was yes because i want to have it for us to have a daily communication via webcam..though we communicate daily through email but i wanted to see him everyday and talk to him..and i wanted to have a computer because i wanted to apply on a home-based transcriptionist..so, while at home, i'm also making money aside of mylot and other work outside.. i don't have a computer at home, that i need to go to the cafe to be able to send him an email and to work on mylot..and my bf is a really blessing for me.. Yahoo!! i'm so happy and sooner i can own a computer..just sharing my happiness to you my friends..and thanks for the responses in advance..have a nice day..

Did someone give you a computor? Or did you have to buy one. I finally got my computor and got it hooked up. Not very many people succeed as one but I'm sure with all the talents and inspirations that you have, you will succeed indeed. One of the perks of modern life is to have instant communication and having a pc is one way to have this convenience. I live in the US back in the early nineties and the internet was not as widespread as it is now. My wife and I had to rely more on the telephone and it was expensive! Now , if both you and your boyfriend have pc and internet connection, you can communicate for free, well almost since you still have to pay your ISP, but still, it is much cheaper than using a regular phone. Ahhh that's nice that you are getting anew computer. So you studied transcription? I was majoring in business office technology which includes transcription. I've had to take some time off due to transportation problems. That will be good income for you. My friend made about 12 cents a line doing transcription from home. [charlene2350]

Oh lucky you! It is much nicer to be able to sit at home and compute than it is to have to go to the internet cafe. My daughter has one in her bedroom and writes all her messages on it then puts them on a usb stick to bring downstairs to paste into her emails. She does her homework like that too but takes the files to school on the usb stick and prints them out there. [mihimolly]

that's good news. i understand what you're going through... atleast a little. my boyfriend and i are in a long distance relationship, too. before, i need to go to an internet shop just to be able to chat to him and email him. but my father gave us three computers at home to share with my two younger siblings and my mom, too. now, we talk everyday and it's safer for me, too. no need to go out of the house just to rent a computer unit. plus, we can talk anytime of the day. one thing, too is that we can do lots of online jobs at home. it's truly a good thing for you cherrie. good luck! I know when I got my first computer about 5 years ago I thought it was the most wonderful thing on earth, it was an old one and was really slow but I put up with the small problems because 'I had a computer'. Then it got a nasty virus and died, I was beside myself. My mother, bless her gave me the money to buy a brand new one and off I went to have a look to see what to buy, boy what a nightmare trying to decide which one I liked, which one would give me the best run for the money, what colour I preferred, the list goes on, there were so many choices, now days even more as you can shop on line as well. I finally got my new computer and all the bits and pieces and I just thought I was the most blessed person in the whole wide world, and I am sure you will think the same thing when you go and get yours, have a lot of fun chosing and let us at mylot know you get on, enjoy.
